I have been visiting the Ardshiel Hotel for several years now and for the reasons I explained on your survey ,will continue to return.I feel that all the staff from the cleaners ,reception and front house do a great job and for many I am treated as a friend as well as a regular customer.The hotel itself is in a great location and offers extremely comfortable rooms and the food choice and standard is exceptional.

Pleasant overnight stay in a lovely hotel

We stayed in the annexe. The room was very clean and the beds comfortable. Toiletries and towels. Although we didn’t need it the clothes steamer would have been great for a longer stay.

Great stay with delicious food and fabulous whisky!

Good central but peaceful location. Staff were very friendly, efficient and attentive even during particularly busy periods. Food freshly cooked and good choice of gluten free options. Delicious breakfast with lovely fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals, juices as well as several freshly cooked choices. Fabulous whisky bar with extensive whisky menu, served professionally. Rooms clean and beds comfortable.

Rooms in the annex to main hotel were a short walk away and fairly small but comfortable with a good shower and tea/coffee making facilities. Some biscuits would have been appreciated and a shelf in the bathroom area would have been useful for toiletries.

Range of whiskeys

Booked the hotel quite a few months ago for a group of 4 bikers. Upon arrival for checkin, we were asked if we would like to upgrade for a fee of £25 to stay in the hotel rooms, i declined and our rooms for the night was what looked like a temporary building a few houses down situated at the rear of another dwelling, not the news we where expecting on arrival and left me particularly annoyed...

Very comfy bed and well appointed room. Friendly and efficient front desk staff. Great restaurant, but the staff there may need a little more training. However, food was delicious and the staff were very approachable, so still impressed overall. Some great menu options and a well stocked bar. Perfect location if you come in off the ferry. Easy walk into town. Park nearby for kids. Lovely flowers on grounds.

Nice enough and fine for the one night we needed but overpriced for what we got

The location was good for what we needed. Dinner was nice and if you like whiskey then the bar was excellent!

Considering the price (I think it was £150 for the night) the room was poor. This was their budget room and if I had paid a budget price then fine but it was exceptionally basic, in need of a bit of refurbishment and there was a damp smell. As I say if it had been a budget price, fine but it wasn't value for what we paid

Excellent hotel. Staff were very friendly and the whole enterprise is very well run indeed. Room was very comfortable and spacious. The standard of food for our evening meal was excellent. The whisky gantry in the bar is one of the finest I’ve seen. Outstanding.

Great location just outside the central bustle area of Campbeltown so easy to get to and plenty of parking but just two blocks to everything. Very friendly staff. Nice options for breakfast.

Highland hospitality at its best.

We were made extremely welcome by the staff and regulars in the well-stocked whisky bar. We shall certainly return for a refill of Ardshiel’s fine food and hospitality at the earliest opportunity.
