Très bien placé pour le Vieux Port. Espace et comfort pour 4 personnes. On a aimé la copie du Modigliani! On a apprécié d'être reçu en personne et d'avoir de petites choses en arrivant, thé, café, etc.

We appreciated the owner was kind enough to arrange an earlier "drop luggage" at 2.30pm although the official check-in, at earliest, is "5.00pm" (quite unusual considering check-out rules was latest at 11am). We had a nasty encounter with the assistant (a.k.a cleaner) assigned to hand over the keys. Location has good accessibility although cannot be said to be "best pick" as past reviews have praised. After the 3rd day of a 5N stay, we can tell there are other choices that fall under the same category & central access but at better value. Nice & welcoming large balcony doors for a bit of warmer autumn afternoon sun. Be mindful of endless tour groups passing just one floor below since this is their main route to the Panier neighbourhood.

Apartment is of moderate premium level and the furnishing have since aged. Too many personal/decorative accessories cluttered the living & dining area so much so staying guests can be deprived of their habitual usage of similar spaces for their own personal convenience. Well equipped kitchen however kitchen tools are definitely over-duplicated and again, drawers are cluttered and piled up. Doubtful if some items have been properly cleaned after use. As in many urban centres, rough-sleepers find warmth and less disturbance spending the night along the semi-enclosed corridors of adjacent blocks, so expect stench passing in the morning. BEWARE - Nice host being mentioned frequently and was one of reasons we booked this apartment. Do make sure, if at all possible, check in is taken care of by someone who understands "hospitality" and likes the job.
