Dormy Inn Akihabara

The bath-house was a great evening recreation after a long day walking around in Tokyo. The free Ramen was a good evening snack.

Room was cramped.

The free late-night ramen and rooftop onsen with free ice cream has always been a highlight of staying at Dormy, and the Akihabara branch is no exception. The upkeep of the room we stayed at was kept clean on entry.

The room we booked admittedly was on the smaller side, though is typical for hotels found in the central Tokyo metropolitan area such as this one. Particularly, the sink area is small so don't expect to have much room if you need an array of different toiletries around.

The public bath after long day outside is just fantastic.

I asked for a room at higher floors to get away from street noise, unfortunately while there was practically none of the street noise there was some heavy machinery that kept roaring up for a few seconds then silence for few seconds and then roaring up again constantly day and night making it hard to sleep. The accommodation is great but i will avoid the floor right below the bathing area next time.

Location is in a very busy area within a short walk to train station and Ginza subway line. Onsen/ofuro was standard to other Dormy Inns, which is pleasant. Kettle and fridge in bedroom.

Room was was small and dated, the set up with a kitchen sink in the bedroom as the main sink felt less tidy. Eggy smell in bathroom from the drain. No massage chairs like other dormy inns. No lobby area to sit / meet with friends. Breakfast looked very mediocre in variety. We opted against it. Of the three dormy inns we stayed at, this one was smaller and less pleasant. But clean and quiet.
