We stayed in an apartment, a couple of blocks from the main hotel. It was spacious and close to an underground station on the line to the main Berlin station (Hauptbahnhof). The area seemed safe and the computer game museum nearby is worth a visit. The washing machine was useful.
There were no bowls, but I never got round to mentioning this to the owner. The toilet had a smell of old cigarettes, possibly from the central ventilation grille, but this was not present elsewhere.

It's a spacious apartment near public transit. It's got a little wear but was clean. The kitchen is a little minimal. Small fridge. No freezer. No knives. But it was functional. Check in was easy, though you have to walk 250 meters to the place after getting the keys. Check out was easy
Only one key for 4 people. We asked for more but unavailable. That's the only real negative we had. Maybe bring your own lock box? The apartment is a good deal so we made it work
