Sightseeing visit

Vivian (receptionist) was exceptionally helpful and ensured we feel ready for sightseeing (I am sure the others are kind as well we just did not have a chance to meet them). Room and bathroom spacios, clean and warm! No smoking allowed. Location was great!

Soft mattreses, but I guess this is matter of a preference, and did not really impacted overall great stay and hotel review.

If you book a room with a street view, you will hear the tram passing by because they are right under the window. However, the hotel does not deserve only 3 stars

Friendly small hotel in the middle of the center, great value for money.

Location, breakfast, furniture all great. Stuff is also friendly.

We basically liked everything. Only 1 small point where impruvement would be possible: There was only 1 roomkey available. I had to go out for late while the family was already sleeping. The receptionist had to open the door for me.

We had a family room which was perfect with small children. The room was large and clean, the hotel provided everything for small babies (cot, changing mat, baby bathtub) which we didn't expect.

Sonata in Szeged

Excellent location, close to the city center, shopping center, supermarket. The aquapark is about 20 minutes away on foot. Interior is attractively designed. The room was larger than expected, with a nice balcony and facing the yard, so there were no issues with street noise. Bathroom was a bit smaller. Everything was very clean. The receptionist was very kind and helpful. The breakfast was versatile and tasty (the sausages were exceptional!) but a bit cramped. Hotel parking must be reserved earlier for a fee or payed hourly in the street Monday to Friday, but free parking zone is less than 10 minutes away on foot.

The mattress was too soft for me, but then it's about personal preference. We spent two nights, found the room impecably clean upon arrival, but I don't think it was cleaned during our stay (the trash bin wasn't emptied and the beds weren't made). Didn't bother us for such a short stay.

Great place for a short city trip.

This hotel is in close proximity to the center of Szeged. Close to shops, restaurants and the major tourist attractions. The rooms are big enough and very comfortable. Well lit and well heated. There is a 24 hour reception desk. One can park in the yard. One can also get an electric kettle, if desired. The breakfast is of great variety. With lots of hot & cold, sweet & savory items. Tea, coffee and juices.

There is no community room one could sit during the day. The bathroom is very small. One practically has to squeeze oneself in between the door and the shower cabin to be able to sit on the toilet. The shower cabin itself is also very small. Cleaning itself is very superficial. I dropped something in the bathroom the first day which was still there after the THIRD day. Cleaning personnel is very loud while working, even if they know there are people in the room. Most probably resting?! 🧐🤔

A little jewel in all aspects

Very baby friendly - we did not just receive a cot, but also a baby tub and changing mat. There are child chairs in the breakfast room and toys. Which breakfast was great, by the way. And the room... it's great - large comfy bed, big soft drapes, clean and with a high-end feeling. The whole hotel has a special touch and the the staff is also great.

Our favorite hotel in Szeged

Our stay at Hotel Piano in Szeged was absolutely delightful, and we couldn't be happier with our experience! This was our fifth visit to the hotel, and the first since the ownership change. We were pleasantly surprised by the wonderful renovations; the place felt incredibly fresh and very clean. The staff at Hotel Piano were exceptional and made us feel so welcome throughout our stay. Their friendliness and attentiveness truly added a personal touch to our visit, and we felt like valued guests from the moment we arrived. Having a reserved parking place at a reasonable cost was incredibly convenient, and it relieved any worries about finding parking in the central area. The hotel's location is indeed very central, allowing us easy access to all the attractions and activities Szeged has to offer. The breakfast is reach with Hungarian offerings. We highly recommend Hotel Piano to anyone planning a visit to Szeged. Whether it's your first time in the city or you're a returning visitor like us, you'll be in for a treat. The hotel's charming ambiance, the warm and helpful staff, and the convenient central location all contribute to an outstanding experience. The location is close to supermarkets, places to eat and city attractions, the fact that they are pet friendly is a big plus, also the breakfast is very good.

The room was very clean, but it had a particular smell like moistness, think because of the products they use to clean the rooms.

Excellent boutique hotel with perfect location, beautiful breakfast and amazing staff!

Our 2nd stay in the family room, and we loved it again. Location is great; breakfast was plentiful. The new rule for parking made it easier this time - you have to pay to use one of the 8 parking spots inside the courtyard.

Bathroom in the family room - the door has a see-through glass pane at eye level through which you can see the person inside having a shower. The wall between the bathroom and the big room has a window up top - you could wake up the people sleeping in the big room when switching on the bathroom lights in the middle of the night. Self-adhesive window decorative foil (OBi/Praktiker) would solve this issue immediately. Lack of shower curtain and wall fixture for the shower handle. Water splashes everywhere. But the hotel management started addressing this issue during our stay.

The hotel is in an excellent location - it is 10 minutes on foot from all the sights in the city and from the shopping center Arkad. The staff were extremely friendly and informative, with excellent English. Reading the reviews of other guests, we realized that the disadvantage of the hotel is the noise of the tram that passes by it. We fully compensated for this shortcoming by booking a room overlooking the courtyard (parking lot). It is possible to park in the facility for a price of 7 euros per day. Parking is accessible and safe (located in the hotel yard). It is worth paying extra for breakfast, because it is varied and abundant, and the breakfast room is extremely pleasant, with discreet jazz music. All recommendations for this hotel. If we come to Szeged again, we will definitely stay there.
