Breakfast was great and dinner too, but since I cannot eat 99% of food, my choice was great

Beds were low and not so comfortable, before when I was coming - beds were more higher, and sleeping was like in clouds.

Wonderful hotel with great comfort and service

We had a wonderful stay! The hotel is clean, elegant, and very well located. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the breakfast was excellent, with plenty of tasty options. Spacious and comfortable room, balcony, TV, telephone, minibar, bathrobes and towels for the aquapark, bathroom with shower, hairdryer and other amenities. Unlimited access to Aquapolis, playground and activities for children, bowling, billiards, discounts at the Zooparc, etc. Parking in front of the hotel, for a fee. The staff is warm, friendly and always ready to help without being intrusive. The breakfast and dinner was very good, offering an impressive variety of dishes. I recommend Hunguest Szeged to anyone who wants a few days of civilized pampering. We will definitely come back!

It used to be much better

Comfy bed.

This is the third time we have been to this hotel in the last 10 years. Two years ago I gave this hotel a 10/10 rating on booking.com. But now I can see that the hotel has a new owner, who is making changes, but in the wrong direction. This hotel has always been famous for its restaurant, but the food is nothing special now, and it used to be a delicious paradise. It was a cold night, so we tried to use AC to warm us, but it was blowing only cold air. Previously, we could also, for an additional fee, use the room until 13:00 on the last day of our stay, which made things much easier for guests, but this has now been canceled, you cannot pay extra and I had to leave the hotel at 10:00 (it was Monday, not a busy weekend day when they need all the rooms). So, if you want to use the pool on the last day of your stay, you lose the right to use towels, bathrobes (and most important - the room) plus you have to pay extra for the entrance to the water park. Couple of words for aquapark - the water in the water park was colder than before, almost all iron beams has some rusty part, the employees were not friendly, they have earphones with music, and don't like to remove them if you want to ask them anything. Conclusion - If you come here for the first time, you will probably love this hotel. But it you have visited hotel before, you will notice big drop in hotel service.

Great weekend break

Amazing staff, the receptionists helped us to change the room type and have a late checkout the next day. Food is delicious, rooms are very clean.

Lifeguards at the pool area (where the slides are) kept the doors open despite the fact that it was unusually cold outside, and after being told that the kids are freezing. As the result, it was almost impossible to climb to the top slides.

must have booking if you plan to visit aquapolis

definitely the aquapolis!! the thermal spa, swimming pool and sauna were amazing! breakfast was very good we also liked the bowling inside the hotel. staff is well trained, helpful and very polite.

it’s listed as 4 star hotel but it’s clearly a 3 star. the hotel itself is old and needs renovation. however no regrets when you combine price inclusive aquapolis and half boarding. also dinner was disappointing for a in selection and quality. a bit disappointing they everything and all services had an extra service fee. just built it in the price, come on.

Overall great value for money but not as good as the reviews say

Facilities, spa, wellness, food, great value for money

The first room we were given smelt of cigarettes. We asked for a different room. Even though smoking was not permitted anywhere at the hotel, someone was smoking on their balcony all the time, which meant that we didn't want to open our window, as the smoke would have come in otherwise. Also, the hotel could do with a sanitary painting in certain areas. Cribs and housekeeping trolleys were at the corridor all day long, even the evening.

Acceptable for a SPA weekend

We enjoyed the SPA facilities of the hotel, but also the easy acces to the Aquapark of Szeged which has lot of pools but the construction is quite old and not modernized. The room was ok, quite large which is a plus. Breakfast and dinner with great variety of meals

The room has not enough light, bathroom was not very clean. Pillows were quite used and not very comfortable. Heating system didn't work, also the radiator in the room

Very good

Food was really excellent, both in variety and quality! Compliments to the chefs! Aquapark has nice sliders and luckily we went during the week, so it was not too crowded!

There where ongoing maintenance works right in front of our balcony, in same height as our room. When waking up in the morning, am not really a big fanof the sight and noise of 5-6 people just 2m away from our beds, through the huge glassdoor and windows.

Low quality rooms

The Aquapark is really good. And you can totally come here and sleep in another hotel. Not crowded. Snack bar available inside.

The rooms were extremely dirty. We found underpants, stockings, papers, dust, and shaved hairs in the bath glass. Terrible. We brought it to reception and they said 'sorry', nothing more. The beds are extremely uncomfortable. Within two families of 4 adults, 2 teens, and 2 toddlers - none of us slept well for two nights. We booked the room with one double bed in the bedroom and 2 sofa beds in the living room, but there was only 1 sofa bed and it was about 160cm long and width of 1,5bed size. This is definitely not a 4 stars hotel level and we are not planning to come back. The food variety is high, but you need to mind what you pick. For example, fish (salmon) was overcooked and dry. During the breakfasts and dinners frequently resupply was not done timely (i mean food, mugs, plates, table cleaning, etc)

I didnt like that after I checked out and wanted to use the spa facilities , I couldnt just buy the day pass at the reception or at the 16+ spa located in the hotel, I had to leave the hotel walk to the aqua park purchase the tiecket there. And then go back to the hotel to go ti tge spa.0
