Quiet, calm energy

Quiet and peaceful place in Ubud, yet still close to the city center, and has cafes, convenience stores and money exchange at a walking distance. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, breakfast is served fresh every morning, nice little pool with a waterfall and the prices are very affordable. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this place and would love to stay here again.

Beautiful Homestay - Comfortable, Quiet and Relaxing

Lovely homestay with such friendly and helpful staff. The room was big, clean and very comfortable. Beautiful pool and garden area — perfect for relaxing. Breakfast was great, and the whole place was quiet and peaceful. It’s also close to coffee shops, cafés and not far from the centre. Really enjoyed my stay and highly recommend it. I’ll definitely be back!

Room is clean, comfortable. Location is at the end of a cul-de-sac, so is very quiet. Staff are very responsive and helpful. Breakfasts excellent. I started with a week here, and liked it so much that I wound up staying six weeks.

They allow smoking on the property, so sometimes get smells from nearby balconies.

Perfect location for an Ubud vacation.

The location was great. Close enough to the centre of Ubud but without the noise and traffic. The pool is A+, the breakfast and outdoor seating area is really nice. The room had a canopy bed with mosquito netting (we didn’t need it). The AC worked well. Had a room safe and lots of storage. All the important things were fantastic - location, staff, pool, bed, staff and it was clean. The restaurant up the road (2 minute walk) Ting Ting was very good. We also walked to Sayan Point - very good. We took a taxi back. This hotel was the jump off point for us to tour: Virgin Beach, rice patties, temples, volcano and much more. Pekak Mangku is a great choice.

The shower was a bit of a challenge as it sprayed everywhere if you left it on the hook so you had to handhold it all the time. Towels weren’t great, but we had plenty.

Hidden Gem

Staff was exquisite, and breakfast was delicious. One day we were leaving super early and they offered to prepare the breakfast for us anyways, even if outside the established hours. Most beautiful and spacious room we have stayed in bali. Top rate!!

Haven of Peace

This is a lovely property with 10 rooms. The property is quiet and very pleasing to the eye with lots of plants, lawn and neat pathways. These are well lit at night. Our suite was huge, we found it a bit dark at first but got used to it. Extremely comfortable bed with good quality sheets and pillows. Breakfast was served at the time requested and always had a fresh fruit juice, fruit salad and a hot dish. Good communication with Kadek. The staff are super helpful. Highly recommended if you want to relax. You will need transport or use cabs to get to Ubud.

The access to the property was dark and needs to be better lit. The windows in the bathroom need to have mosquito nets. I was badly bitten. They could have had mosquito coils or plug in repellent in place.

Room was clean and comfortable enough for our short stay in Ubud, nothing spectacular.

Property has potential to be gorgeous. Having breakfast delivered to the room was nice, especially if you have a busy day and limited time in Ubud.

Room had a smell of mold. Bathroom needed an update. Safe in the closet didn’t come with instructions and the locks on the closet didn’t work.

Fantastic location, quite at night, beautiful room and very comfortable bed, Breakfast included was different everyday and excellent quality. Pool was deep cool and refreshing. Staff were kind responsive and helpful. I will be back again.

Offer a discount for long stay, I would defiantly use it. A water filter instead of bottled water everyday.

Lovely staff, great value and super chill!

Lovely recently refurbished large room, with huge comfy double bed. Big bathroom with huge shower, hot water and great pressure, really nice. Outside kitchenette and balcony, very practical. Super kind and helpful staff. Yummy breakfast served to your room, with a different homemade dish everyday :) We had the pool all to ourselves and the place was a little haven away from the noise and bikes outside. It’s excellent value for money and is definitely book it again if I go back to Sayan.

I only gave it a 9/10 bcause of the smell. It was a great place and would stay there again.

The room size and bathroom size were very good, bigger than expected. Breakfast was just what we needed, light but wonderful mix of fruits and protein. Pool was refreshing.

Room has a musty smell, like you can smell mold growing and mold was present at one time. Really need to get rid of that. If you were allowed to keep the air conditioner going while you wereout, It would take care of some of that. The humidity and no air running are what is causing the mold.

Wonderful energy that I enjoyed thoroughly.

I absolutely enjoyed the vibe at this place. The room was huge and with a quiet elegance, stone floors and a very big bathroom half outdoors. My room at the back of the property upstairs was very private with a lovely balcony. The breakfast is served on the balcony and was very nice and fresh. There’s a deep pool and the guesthouse is quiet and nice for introverts. I was sad to leave and would return anytime.

The only issue was the noise from the neighbor room, it’s not very soundproof.

Lovely hideaway

This place is great value for money and had a delicious breakfast included each day. The pool was lovely and deep and the location was nicely tucked away with a great coffee shop (Bodega) just up the road at the end of the driveway.

The driveway coming into the property needs a bit of a tidy up and you have to dodge dog poo which is tricky at night 😄

Good value but construction

Beautiful compound at the top of Penestenan village, beautiful garden, no roosters so also quiet.

Pool area being maintained so electric saw and dust all day, couldn’t enjoy the pool at all. The breakfast is on the poor end of what you get for complimentary breakfast in Ubud. We are the fruit and thats about it.

Quiet nice shower area . Breakfast was just ok . It is quite away from the main hub of ubud but we hired a motor bike or car . A car takes longer . The were several cafes just a few minutes walk from villas . Pool was ok . I asked for a hair dryer . Wifi was good . Laundry across the road . It is down a long driveway .

Wifi shower had a mini fridge beds were ok balcony if your on top floor you have to lift suitcase up stair so if you have problems ask for villa down stair .

Amazing place!

Amazing place overall! Great host and staff, super friendly and kind. Tasty breakfasts (fruits, omelette, juice, pancakes) that are slightly varying from day to day. Big and spacious room. Quiet green garden with a big swimming pool. A number of grocery stores and great restaurants (both Vegetarian and non-vegetarian) nearby.

Absolutely great place to stay. The vibe of the place was so serene and peaceful, it was the perfect choice to get away from the happening areas of Ubud. Not too far from the centre, the entry is in a small street. One of the best places we stayed in during the trip

No reception, hardly speaking English staff. Too many insects, ants but it was OK for us. Pictures are a little bit misleading, it is more worn out. Especially bed sheets and linen. Towels have already passed their time... Bad experience at checking in - we booked a superior double and it was confirmed by the property that accommodates 2 adults and 1 kid (10 yrs). We communicated with property about various things (about bed arrangements - double and twins) and on the last day I wrote to them that I don't need twins but double and the extra bed for the kid in one of the rooms. The manager replied that they have not made arrangements for extra beds as they do not offer this. As we were on the move, I couldn't read and I was surprised to understand this only at the arrival. I requested the manager to try to find a solution for us but the rude answer was - no we are not doing it, if not happy, cancel the booking. Well, this literally meant - go away, I don't care, stay on the street if you like. Very bad behaviour. Upon my protest, she said the kid can sleep with you on the double bed. Well, she may be happy to do this with her family but not all people are OK with such sleeping. For one night it could be fine, but more... The other thing is that the bed is double - for two people, not for three!!! Finally they brought a mattress, put it on the floor.... However we were not charged for this arrangement So be careful when you book a Guesthouse, hotels will never allow such things to happen

Breakfast was one ption the same thing g for a week was not so great. Had to request clean towels as weren't changed otherwise. Room wasn't cleaned for the week we were there only bed made.

I had a wonderful stay at PEKAK Mangku

The pool was wonderful and the room quiet.

The fridge to share with other was not working properly, and not even cold. The water coming out of the shower in my bathroom had a setting that was difficult to shower under and made a mess on the floor every time i used it. And there was a smell in the bathroom that never went away.

Good stay. Everything what I expected. Rooms are not very big but clean. Specious bathroom with a bathtub. Pool is nice.

Breakfast could be a little more interesting. No coffee. Locations is a bit far away from Ubud but it’s not a problem if you have a bike.
