Lovely hotel with old beams and stone work in central location

Comfortable, large room with old beams . Location is very central near river…can easily walk to most attractions. Breakfast very good. Excellent advice on what to see from reception. Public parking was easy to find and St Antoine has a weekend deal.

Slightly tricky arriving in small street . Would have liked tea/coffee in room but reception can provide boiling water if needed .

Friendly reception, quiet setting, clean, gracious neighborhood recommendations and great location.

The exterior hotel sign was difficult to see for first timers. Directions to find this hotel need to be VERY specific!!

Good, but wouldn’t stay there again

The location is very good and the place is easy to find. It was good value for the price.

They say they have staff there 24 hours in case you come late they’ll open the door for you. Well that is not true. Was locked out for what felt like An hour after a night out.

Location is in the heart of the city, perfect for exploring. It is a good hotel for a short stay, clean, nice staff

A kettle in the room would be good. After all, it is presented as a 3 stars hotel on booking, but I would say it is rather a good 2 stars hotel , given the very basic facilities.

Top notch location and quaint layout

Top notch location to walk into town for a fantastic dinner. Our food tour (no diet walking tour - recommended!) actually ended right around the corner. Fun layout of the hotel (though what’s up with all the UK travel posters??) and high service level. Parking is possible in larger public parking garages nearby. Rooms are small but comfortable.

Perhaps the hotel can arrange a deal with parking garages and I recommend explaining more clearly where you can park to drop your luggage. Also, if you struggle with mobility, don’t select this hotel.

Delightful, quiet hotel near old town

Our host was attentive and jovial, making the hotel feel so inviting. We felt the place's history while enjoying its modern updates. A blending of old and new. The location was superb, out of the way of the congested touristy area while being right across the river from old town.

A bit difficult to find with no obvious outdoor signage, but once we found it, it didn't matter any more.

Hotel Saint Vincent is an excellent base for a stay in Lyon.

Hotel Saint Vincent is located within walking distance of many Lyon attractions, close to regular public transport services and yet outside of the highly commercial and tourist areas of the city. There are many services such as excellent local restaurants and bars within 5 minutes walk. The standard room was of a good size, clean and airy. The staff were friendly, multilingual and engaging, and prepared to share many tips on getting around, things to see, and recommendations for local restaurants, bars and markets, including specialist requirements (eg gluten free food). They even knew about changes to bus stops which had only occurred the previous day.

If you are looking for a quiet basic room away from the bar scene this is a good option

The room was big and on a quiet street. The beds were firm and everything was very clean.

The breakfast was not a good value. Nothing to look forward to and it was expensive. Half of the staff were friendly and charming. The remainder were brusque and intimidating.

Location is good but hotel needs updates

This is a central location and quiet area. We ave stayed here 4 times or more.

The hotel is long over due for an update and some in room comforts like a hot water kettle. There is lots of other hotels providing better experiences for a reasonable cost.

Beautiful property with clean and quiet rooms in an excellent location.

Beautiful renovated historical building. Good size room, very clean and quiet. The location was excellent. I walked everywhere. There is a bridge just across the street that takes you to the old town. I didn’t take public transportation, but there was bus stop half a block from the hotel. They are very good restaurants and Cafes near the hotel.

The hotel doesn’t have an elevator. It was not a problem for me to go up and down the stairs.

Perfect place for a solo traveller

first of all, location is very great. Walkable distance to many main places. The personnel are very kind and helpful. The rooms are located on first floor (no elevator) and on a big endless corridor (aisle) which I found very funny. If you bring heavy bags/baggages, to walk to the rooms can be challenging. The rooms are cleaned everyday. There is no sleeper, if you don't want to be bare foot, I recommend bring your own.

Even though the location is great, to walk to the nearest metro takes 8-10 minutes walk, which was not a problem for me at all. Lyon is very walking friendly city.

We would stay elsewhere

Nice location along the river and not too far from sight seeing locations.

The older gentleman checking us in was not friendly at all. There was an issue with our checkin and he didn’t handle the issue well at all. He also wasn’t listening when we reserved one breakfast and instead put us down for two. Breakfast came around and they were out of food and we ended up being charged for two when only one of us was there. The AC in the rooms are controlled by the office and having a room at the very top of the stairs, it was hot. No elevator and no parking.

Location is perfect near good restaurants and old town of Lyon, close to parking, good facilities, overall perfect for a short stay in the city.

Cleaning could be improved but overall not bad. Airconditioning is automatic, at night perfect temperature but during the day can be a bit hot when its over 30 degrees outside.

- quite spacious and clean room - well-equipped bathroom - great location

- relatively expensive breakfast (we didn't have it), given that there are a lot of boulangeries in Lyon

- good location - staff is super friendly - the building is beautiful, build a few centuries ago, walls are made in old light brown rocks, I had the feeling to be in a labyrinth it was magic - shower gel smells delicious, the best I have used in a hotel so far..

- bathroom is too small, the sink is so big that there is no space to put my hair brush and cosmetics next to it, the only available place is on top of the toilet... - the temperature of the shower is blocked, which refrained me from using the hot temperature I normally like, I travel more than ten times per year and I had never seen this blocking system before.

The desk clerks were all extremely helpful and friendly. We loved how the hotel restoration retained key historic features of the building such as foundation arches, walls and stairwell. The location was incredible.

We didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel because it didn’t seem to be a good value. That was ok for us since there were other options nearby.

Not recommended if you want to sleep

Location, decent room size

Forget about sleeping! Due to its structure, there is no sound insulation. Not only did we hear the couple above having sex like if they were in the same room, but we also heard their snoring all night long! Even the slight movement or conversation from the neighboring room will be clearly and loudly heard in your room.
