The People - Lyon

I understand that with this budget I can't really complain but I don't expect this hostel to be in a hilly road as well and the bunk has a very low ceiling. i mean i usually can sit with straight back inside the pod but not in this hostel. also its a vertical pod not a horizontal one so for me, it made me struggle to go in and out .. the communal area is just okay. not dirty not great. but okay and acceptable. staffs are super nice!

Excelente ubicación en el 1er arrondisement. Cerca de todo, sólo que hay que subir una colina que puede ser cansada. Pero en general, bien.

I had a very pleasant stay in Lyon

Ok location, on top of a hill, O dont mind walking to to me was ok, but accessibility persons would face issues. Out of dozens of hostels I've been to in my life, this was the most structured one, as they have locations in many places and act like a franchise. Ironically, however, I might have had the worst experience. The dormitory where I slept was impossible to sleep in. There was no air con and France was registering 37 to 40 degree celcius. In the 18-people dormitory I couldn't sleep due to the heat and the stench was really unpleasant. I just kept rolling sideways drenched in my own sweat every night, for three consecutive events. People stole food from the fridge (wine, bread, cheese and juice) so that was also an issue, and there could be a camera in the kitchen to avoid that. One guy kept drinking all day long in the shared area, listening to songs with no earbuds in the last volume. It made impossible por people to enjoy the area, read or do anything productive. The toilets Meyer had soap replenished (due to the heat I took 3 showers a day for four days) and not even once there was soap. In the last whole day there was no toilet paper so I had to use the shared toilet in the lounge of the hostel. On the other hand, on the positive sixe, the staff was very kind, helpful on how to get to the airport, general information, etc.
