Lovely old building

Staff , particularly The lovely, kindly older gentleman and delightful, professional South Asian lady. Location. Comfortable bed. Warm room. Plenty of hot water. Nice public areas. Evening meal very well cooked and presented.
Room needs serious updating. 1980s decor & dodgy electrics. Chipped & worn paint. Ensuite bathroom a museum piece. Huge , old-fashioned bath, with out dated small shower over it.
The breakfast offer is basic. Dreadful coffee is surely not acceptable? Breakfasts & room and staffing levels all done to the absolute minimum, cheapest materials. Do not understand why this hotel is 4* rated. It used to be one of the best hotels in Moray. It could be utterly fabulous: needs a new owner.
