It was fair and inexpensive. Probably would not return.

Great location. 2 of the front of house staff were amazing (sisters).

Other staff were less friendly, almost a bit surly. Cups and glasses in rooms were not washed/ replaced. Pool area shaded.

Excellent location. Property has some beautiful features. Breakfast very good. Friendly staff.

On arrival, the handle to our room feels off. The sink in the bathroom was out of commission as the plug was broken. The air conditioning was faulty, it leaked water all down the blinds, cushions, and some of our clothes. The engineer was called to dived this, but the sink was faulty for all our stay. So much potential in this guesthouse, but clearly maintenance requires more attention.

Great stay, location, and staff

We had an amazing stay here for our anniversary. The room was quite special and quirky, with old-fashioned decorations, something you don't see every day, and which made it memorable. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and helpful. We also enjoyed a good breakfast in the morning. The location is perfect, allowing one to walk around Stellenbosch town.

Beautiful heritage house

Charming old house right in the centre of Stellenbosch, walking distance from interesting things. The staff were excellent and the place was very comfortable. Pity we were only able to stay for one night.

Ok for a short time, close to the city center

The location is great, 5-10min away from all the restaurants, shops etc and right next to the University Botanical Garden. The staff is also super nice and the breakfast was good!

As a solo traveler I had a tiny room, it was also super cold at night and I ended up having to wear a sweatshirt to warm up… The bathroom was clean but the bedroom carpet would definitely need a good change.

Historical guesthouse visit

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room is spacious and decorated in the style of the home built at the time. Breakfast every morning was great and plenty to choose from. The guesthouse is in a good area, close to shops, restaurants and next to the University Botanical Garden.

Great value and unique setting!

Clean, nicely decorated rooms within safe walking distance from the city cente. The atmosphere is very unique, nearly Victorian. Staff is wonderfull!

Always a favourite is Stellenbosch- but needs minor upgrading

Central location and nostalgic old world decor.

The property looks a bit rundown. Bathrooms could do with new grouting and the throw cushions expired years ago (they are stained which is very unappealing).

Fantastic hospitality, great service, very friendly. They go the extra mile to make sure you have a great stay. Lovely rooms with original / historic features and furniture. In short, just a very pleasant and relaxing place to stay.

The perfect choice whilst in Stellenbosch

Beautiful inside and out. Located just outside the centre, just a 2 minute walk away. Safe, private parking. Lovely options for breakfast, and even prepare a packed breakfast if leaving early. Jeanine and Stephanie really make sure you’re well looked after. Only wish I could have stayed longer.
