We enjoyed the peace & tranquility at the manor but would not stay again in the future.

The location, secured parking and walking distance to the town. The bed and mattress was super comfy, the room laid out well providing a luxury feel. The bathroom was spacious, really good shower power and was bright & airy.

Staying in the pool accommodation as there was no privacy from 7am staff laying tables outside our bedroom and the gardener clearing/sweeping outside our room from 7am waking us up and we were not able to open curtains due to the gardener working around our room and residents having breakfast served within visible viewing distance of our room. Staff & manager leave at 6pm and there is nobody around should you want ice, cutlery or plates we had to take off the breakfast tables. The swimming pool desperately needs a filter system that is on all day as trees overhang the pool where leaves and dirt drop into the pool constantly especially when windy. The pool has only 4 sun beds and when the manor is full residents are unable to stay around the pool due to lack of beds. There are 4 bean bag type loungers which get super hot when it is sunny and are on a grass area not around the pool. Breakfast was good when staff remembered orders. We continuously had to ask for butter, more bread and coffee from the machine. The staff were lovely but did struggle with understanding, language and remembering what was required for breakfast. Food was good, loved the poached eggs and jams. We did not feel Stellenbosch Manor was a 4* hotel not enough attention to detail and staff not on hand when you needed them.

Lovely and peaceful stay for our honeymoon

Lovely manor house to stay in and explore the gorgeous area of Stellenbosch and Franschoek. 20 min walk into the main high street with restaurants but ubers also readily and cheapily available. The rooms are beautiful, breakfast excellent and staff keen to make sure we had the best time with recommendations for itineraries :)

A touch of luxury in a beautiful town

Room was luxurious and spacious. The house was decorated and furnished to a high standard. Staff were informative, helpful and responsive. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious Well situated for town which was only a 15 minute walk.

A very relaxing and happy stay.

Everything. Beautiful Manor House and peaceful location, 15 minutes walk from the centre of Stellenbosch and easy access to surrounding winelands. Our luxurious suite (1) was the essence of comfort and had everything we needed. The breakfast buffet was plentiful with additional choice of a cooked breakfast, always delicious. Staff were very welcoming and helpful in recommending tours, arranging bookings and transport for us. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Serene luxury!

This was a stunning little hotel, within 10 minutes (very safe) walking distance from the centre of Stellenbosch. We stayed with our adult daughters and their partners. We all thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful luxury and beauty of this hotel and of course, the town. Very much looking forward to our next trip back here.

This is the perfect hotel for a visit to Stellenbosch and Franschhoek.

The hotel has a marvelous atmosphere of a manor house, complete with wood-burning fireplaces in the lounge and breakfast room. Our excellent host, Lindon, was friendly, professional and attentive to every request, making us feel welcome throughout our three-day visit. The rooms were newly renovated, comfortable, and quiet. The breakfast was delicious and very fresh. The location was perfect, with a 10-minute walk to town or a nature walk along the small Mill Creek which runs behind the hotel. It’s also a short distance to Franschhoek, to enjoy the wine tram and fly fishing. We would definitely stay here for a future visit.

Luxurious oasis within walking distance of downtown

All staff members were outstanding, great service with a smile and very attentive. Bed was super comfortable, linens were luxury quality, room #4 upstairs in the back of the house had a lovely terrace and quiet for sleeping, breakfast was excellent, and housekeeping was just right. Secure parking on-site. Loved being able to walk to town in the daylight and lots of walking and hiking paths/trails nearby.

Room #4 with the open inner balcony was a great room but felt not as private if you forgot to close the bathroom door or the bedroom door.

Excellent breakfast with friendly, helpful staff. Very large room and lounge area. Beautiful river walk behind the B&B and very close to the town, but still with a feeling of being out in the suburbs.

The noise from the extractor fan in the bathroom was excessive. We would have liked a bathtub.

This is my second stay at Stellenbosch Manor and it did not disappoint! This is a stunning house, conveniently placed for central Stellenbosch, being just a 10-minute walk from all the restaurants and shops, but in a delightful tree-lined road and set in lovely gardens. The rooms are luxurious and the linens and beds so comfortable that I even asked for the details of the linen supplier! Linden and Tashriq are excellent hosts and the support staff are really charming and friendly. Breakfast is outstanding and their home-made muesli has to be tried to be believed. Will definitely stay a third time!

Lovely property and very helpful team. The bed was extremely comfortable and very cosy in cooler months. Spacious rooms and a great location.

Only small improvement is a nicer more inviting breakfast. Team is only serving 6 couples / rooms max but maybe a bit more of a luxe experience, more options or serving it on a bigger space.

The room was amazing and the courtyard and pool were beautiful spaces. The breakfast was good. Staff were very helpful and overall there was a lovely homely feel to the place. Have no doubts in booking this place - it was great.

Parking was available but a bit tight (if we are being very picky) and the water in the shower sometimes leaked through the shower door.

Excellent breakfast. We sat in the garden next to the pool which is beautiful. So peaceful and tranquil even though bustling Stellenbosch is on your doorstep. Rooms are beautifully decorated and so comfortable. Management and staff are friendly and efficient and nothing is too much trouble. We invited a friend who lives in the area to join us for breakfast and she was blown away with how beautiful it is.

Quaint, cozy, charming, and comfortable!

We loved our stay at Stellenbosch Manor! Everything about it was perfect. The rooms and overall decor were so beautifully done, the beds were very comfortable, the bathrooms were huge, and the outdoor space off of our room was great. The common areas were very comfortable and inviting as well - we loved sitting by the huge fireplace in the lobby area. The pool was very nice and had great seating. The breakfast was very good as well. Tashriq, one of the managers, was very helpful and accommodating. We felt extremely safe and loved the location - it was an easy walk to the shops and restaurants. It was an incredible value as well. I highly recommend staying at Stellenbosch Manor!
