Great place to lay your head

The location is good if you don't mind walking into town a bit. Breakfast was standard. Eggs cooked to order which was nice, and the cut fruit was good. The apples and banana's were old and soft. The muffins and such were hard and not good. Fast, efficient service though.

Location for Coetzenburg proximity could not be better!

We were attending a Stellies graduation ceremony at Coetzenburg, could not have got a better location - we simply walked across the road! Lovely stay!!

Perfect with wonderful hosts, Bernice and her staff.

A charming property with lovely rooms (we had 3 rooms, all were perfect). The enclosed garden, sun loungers, shade and pool were a welcome bonus in the 34 degrees heat! An easy walk to the centre of town with numerous shops, bars and restaurants. The honesty bar is a great idea and the breakfasts were excellent with lots of choices. Bernice and her staff are wonderful hosts.

Everything was perfect.Every detail.It was so sad that we stayed only one night.Bernice is a very friendly host.She does her best to make her guests happy.The hotel is very clean.The breakfast is awesome.The garden is like heaven.The rooms are so cute.We will come back again.I highly recommend this lovely hotel to everyone who wants to come to Stellenbosch.

The property was clean and comfortable. May be a bit dated but acceptable though . Breakfast was again nothing special with a few choices but was lacking quality.

Everything was amazing. . Staff was friendly and the room size was sufficient. The location is as good as it gets in Stellenbosch. It is very central.

Not having a TV in the bedroom was the only thing missing. It would have been nice to have a tv in the room to watch something before bed.

Great value for money, perfectly located in Stellenbosch in a relatively quiet street but in the city centre and next to the river. The host communicated clearly and stayed up to let us in when we arrived quite late.

Lovely stay with good breakfast close to campus

The hostess was very welcoming and invited my student son to join me for breakfast. She went out of her way to make me comfortable and added to an exceptional stay. Very convenient and close to campus for a quick father/son weekend.

Terrific, tranquil place

I had a wonderful time staying here and even tried to extend - though sadly they were fully booked. The room was lovely, with a view of the garden. The bed was very comfortable, I slept really well and it was surprisingly quiet, despite the proximity to the town centre. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. And Bernice is a real gem; warm, friendly, always with a smile on her face (even when your flight is delayed and you arrive after hours), and always ready to help.

The hospitality of the manager was excellent, The honesty bar was very convenient and the breakfast was of a very high standard

My room was closest to the main entrance and rather noisy due to another customer arriving home at 1am next time i will request a room at the back

I checked in on a Sunday afternoon and was settled in by the most friendly person I have ever encountered. He introduced me to the place in such a friendly way, it chased away the cold!

Friendly, accommodating and peaceful environment which I absolutely loved.

Lovely facade and beautiful decor. Welcoming and comfortable atmosphere and amazing staff.

Filter coffee is provided in the rooms but there is no coffee plunger. More coffee would be nice and perhaps the option of hot chocolate would be great too. These are not negatives but simply personal preferences.
