Good base for stellenbosch

Large open plan room . Deck outside . Pool was good.

Little bit of noise transferred between rooms. Generally in need of some TLC. But it was just a base so we weren't there for the decor .

Won’t be doing it again

The internet was appalling. No shower mat or shower floor towel. No water and the staff were indifferent. Breakfast was mediocre eggs were all hard .

We loved the location, very central. Good, very tasty breakfast and clean, spacious room. Quiet and peaceful atmosphere, with friendly staff. Nice swimming pool and garden to relax in.

Open shower to the bedroom. The parking inside was a bit tight, although enough parking outside.

Venue was absolutely beautiful, staff were friendly and extremely accommodating. It was my daughter's Matric dance and booked 40 Die Haas close to her venue to get done. The staff were extremely accommodating, allowed us to have additional people for makeup and photos, use different room for beautiful photos. 40 Die Laan was not just beautiful but made our stay so much easier. The overnight stay was so amazing to sleep on such comfortable beds with amazing quality linen. We appreciate the short stay, will definitely book in again for a more relaxed stay and enjoy the beautiful pool next time. Thank you to the staff and Dewald. Melanie

An unfortunately very very bad choice

I think that Booking.com needs to actually evaluate the properties physically/in person - not just by selected aesthetically pleasing photos. It felt as if we made the worst choice ever. The photos on the website looked amazing . Our unit was NOTHING like the website representation. We could not sit on two of the Malawi chairs as there was no proper cushion. There was at least approximately 15 metres or more of floor to ceiling glass windows and stackable doors in the lounge and dining area BUT no curtains. There were curtain rails but NO curtains. The floors are a cement screed with only 1 mat in an enormous space. Cold cold cold. I was told to heat the area with the air conditioner unit. The indoor fireplace was an empty hole with two bricks in it. If the owner doesn’t want someone to use the fireplace then at least make it a bit more presentable with some type of decorative arrangement, feature in it? A picture was missing from a wall. Just the mail was left. The shower was a small glass cubicle with NO soap or shampoo etc holder. Soap etc was placed on the shower floor! Look at the shower photos on the website! See the difference….

A very comfortable place for up to 4 people that was clean, welcoming and close to all ameneties.

Everything was clean and we were greeted and made to feel very welcome. We had everything we needed and it was close to the Coetzenberg and restaurants.

First time visiting Stellies and De Haas made me to start planning my next trip!

Breakfast was good and well prepared. Extra milk and coffee sachets provided in my room as requested. Living next to the pool was a bonus! STAFF a gem since arrival to checkout!

We were a family of five and booked the self contained villa for our three older teenage children and we (couple) had an amazing room in the house but accessed externally. Amazing rooms and fantastic decor. The pool welcome given the heat.

Lovely stay in Stellenbosch

The villa was spacious, clean and comfortable. It was centrally located. There is solar back up for use during loadshedding. We had a lovely stay.

Security and signage a bit lacking (a guest walked into our cottage the one night looking for a different room). Not major, easy mistake though but some signage could help prevent this. Other than that we had a lovely stay.
