Good location, nice pool—service/condition could be improved

- Good location – 5 minutes from restaurants and shops - Nice pool

- Breakfast was poor, coffee was not automatically refilled, no gluten-free options although specified in advance (otherwise no problem anywhere else in South Africa), no muffins etc. despite being on the breakfast menu - On a Saturday afternoon, there were definitely outsiders at the pool, a group of 6 young people who took up all the space, and all the other guests were also there, so it was very crowded. (The accommodation did not respond to this comment). - Doors extremely loud, entrance gate scrapes on the floor.

Fresh, breezy and incredibly clean and comfortable.

We arrived and it was incredibly hot, and it was so nice to see a guest house with a decent size swimming pool. The room was airy, bed was incredibly comfortable and the facilities were spotless. the garden was bright and breezy and really felt like a 'comfortable easy living home'

An honesty bar would be a great idea - gin and tonic at the pool after a hot days travelling would have been nice.

Due to poor facilities we spent the majority of our time away from the property

Pool and patio was filthy with no umbrella’s for shade. Bathroom flooded when taking a shower due to blocked drain.

Gorgeous stay in Stellenbosch

We had a great day at Kolonie’s Tuin in Stellenbosch. It was a self check-in which was really easy to follow. We stayed in Cornelia and it was an absolutely gorgeous and spacious room, the bed was super comfy, shower worked great and the doors open to the swimming pool and garden area. The breakfast in the morning was also grey a continental breakfast or cooked breakfast, including French toast and omelettes. We felt really safe in the accommodation too. Wish we’d stayed longer!

A lovely B&B in Stellenbosch.

This is an intimate B&B with walking distance to most of the good restaurants in central Stellenbosch, but still in a very quiet area. Comfortable bed, nice staff, beautiful old fashioned decor and a possibility to park your car just outside the front door. Our room opened up to the small pool area and garden. Lovely and good price performance. We will come back.

For such an expensive place in such a lovely area I expected that everything would have run smoother

The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were super helpful and friendly.

The shower was blocked, the milk in the fridge was sour and the electricity went off in the evening due to no units on the prepaid box

The location was very good; easy to walk to the main street and restaurants. The breakfast was individually prepared and tasty. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean, well supplied and spacious. Airconditioning worked!

There was no one to show us our room when we arrived. We had to wait for a guest to come out of the property so that we could get in the locked front door and there was no reception. I called the number in the booking.com message several times and there was no answer. Finally the proprietor responded in a text or What's App that she had sent a video with this information but I had not been aware of this. She resent it. Just be aware if you stay there that there is no reception when you enter so you need to get the information ahead of time. The swimming pool was very dirty - unusable. We also could not figure out how to turn on the lights by the bed and there was no instruction about how to do that and once again, no one responded to an inquiry on What's App. There were stains on one of the towels.

Very nice and good value for the money.

Such a sweet and cute B&B. The staff was very nice and the breakfast was also very nice. Bedroom was clean and bathroom as well. They have a nice pool. And the location is good for Stellenbosch. You can walk to all the restaurants in town. We were allowed to leave the bags because we were having a late flight and could change over there. It’s in a quiet street and safe.

Beautiful place in the heart of Stellies

Location was perfect, beds were nice, bathroom was nice, garden and the house in general was beautiful and the staff was very helpful and welcoming!

Wish there was breakfast served at the property, but we knew about this before we booked. Lots of nice cafes and restaurants nearby anyways!
