The location was fantastic and our room was lovely overlooking the leather market. Anna and Francesca were really lovely hosts and helpful about places to visit.

Location and cleanliness were important to us. Relais Cavalcanti did not dissapoint. Once we got barings it was easy to get across the river, get to the train station quickly, realize main landmarks around the area (there are a lot!) and locate eateries quickly. Francesca and Anna were great hosts, willing to share information around town. Every room had a fridge, and there was a common eating / kitchen area where they supplied a microwave, panini press, coffee makers (multiple kinds) dishes, utensils, cups, tea, coffee and light snacks.
Not much to complian about, just a bit of a bother was the auto-lighting in the building stairways were off a bit on timing. Sometimes it would go off too quickly while we were climbing the steps. The Relais Cavalcanti is on one level or a 5-level building so I think the light is out of their hands. There are 22 steps to level 0, where there is a lift. We are on the older side so carrying your luggage up and down when checking-in or out was a bit challenging.

Great central location. Loved that we had use of a kitchen/ dining area, and lounge spaces. Daily cleaning was an added bonus. Staff were excellent
This property would have been perfect if it had washing machine/ dryer facilities!
