Hotel Hermitage

This was an awesome stay! The hotel is really cool and I loved the decor inside. The rooftop patio was a bit different from the photos because it is now covered, but is still beautiful. Great location to walk anywhere

The hotel were very nice, the room were clean but feel a bit to old… Our main complaint is only with the lift, they only 1 lift and it’s very old school… you need to wait the lift everytime it got used and the lift were very very small… Plus they have a restaurant at their rooftop and it was a very busy restaurant… imagine we need to queue for the lift with other the restaurant customers and we wait for a good 15minute just to get back to our room plus at the hallway it was crazy hot… no fan… no ac…

extremely tastefully decorated hotel, steps from the pontevecchio. excellent restaurant, can be difficult to get a table--book ahead. staff go out of their way to make guests feel welcome.

I’ll start by saying the hotel looks lovely, but that’s about all I can say that’s positive. I was in the 4th floor, room *** to be exact, and from the moment I first entered my room I could hear hammering, chairs scraping above the ceiling, shouting and music up until 2am. After a night of not having any sleep I asked the front desk (bizarrely located on the top floor) to move rooms as the noise levels weren’t acceptable. I was told that I would need to pay *** to move rooms (I’d already paid *** a night, for 3 nights), which I said wasn’t acceptable because it was the hotel kitchen and bar causing the noise, to which the front desk said there’s nothing more they can do. I spent 3 almost sleepless nights here, (it gets less loud between 2am and 5am) and hated every second of it. Breakfast was included, but it was incredibly basic and the pastries weren’t fresh. The air con has a single setting, 18c on full blast, other settings are locked on the remote control, and it was set to blow straight onto the bed. The aircon unit also featured a used plaster stuck to it. The shower units are old (black sealeant all round) and tiny. In my opinion the only thing this hotel has going for it is its location, which to be fair is but everything else was a let down, and completely ruined what was a fairly expensive city break.
