Flies everywhere all the time. The property needs to hang a few fly traps. Some staff were great others were terrible. If you travel here as a black family prepare to be stared at

A wonderful stay in a perfect hotel, with a to die for location!

The hotel was amazing, right on Lake Garda so extrnely picturesque. Thw breakfast was buffet style and you had so much choice from toast, fruit, cakes, yoghurt, cereal etc, as well as coffee, tea and fresh juice. The room was very comfortable, clean and all very new. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. It was just a pleasure to stay there!

A fabulous hotel in an even better location.

Hotel Du Lac is perfectly located along the lakeside in Gardone. Our room had a cute balcony with a stunning view over the lake. The ferry port is right near the hotel making it easy to catch a ferry to other towns around the lake. The hotel’s restaurant was fantastic and breakfast was amazing. We found the staff to be so accommodating and they were always friendly and helpful with recommendations for things to do.

ONLY PLACE TO STAY!

Great location, everything within a few minutes walk away. Stunning views over the lake. Shout out to all the staff from hotel reception and a big shout out to people working on the morning shift at breakfast, so friendly even remembering our kids names. The hotel restaurant is lovely probably the best meal we had during our stay but only managed to eat there one night unfortunately.

if I had to pick a negative was parking but within a 2 minute walk outside Grand Hotel there is 30 minute bay so you can unpack and within 5 minute walk there is free parking. So wasn’t a problem really.

5 to 10 minute walk to the pool but great facilities when we got there. If I were to find one criticism it is that you can’t use the pool on the day of departure.

Perfect location for access by bus or ferry, very close to both. Really good facilities, restaurant really nice and of course amazing view. Great value for money

There is no blind in the room and the curtains don’t do a great job of keeping the light out so it gets light in the room quite early but not a huge issue for us!

Amazing location with a lovely view of the Garda Lake! The personnel was incredibly supportive - helped to organise surprise for my wife's birthday!! Breakfast with a view and once again - with super support from the hotel team! Highly recommended and it's one of the favourite hotels in the world <3

Everything. The hotel is managed exceptionally well. Am not sure what makes this a three star hotel but it's been better than five stars I've visited. The property is squeaky clean, exceptional facilities, top Manager. The location is fantastic if you'd like to relax and not do too much. Just perfect.

Beautiful hotel, excellent location. It was very clean and modern. All the staff were wonderful. Everyone was friendly and informative and gave excellent service. We had no idea when booking that the hotel had its own reserved area at the local lido with free entry, so that was an added bonus!

The location of the hotel right by the lake with the ferry right outside is excellent. Our room & the whole of the hotel is kept to a high standard of cleansing. Bed & pillows were comfortable. We had a lake view room with balcony which had a lovely view of the lake and the promenade below. Staff in reception are all very friendly and helpful. it is nice having a complimentary bottle of water each ever day.

The size of our room was very small and did not bear any resemblance to the photos on the booking site. we had only one balcony door not two as photographed, thus making the room appear bigger in the photos. There was very little room for two people to move around the room (we are not large people) The wardrobe was very difficult to access, stiff sliding doors with one door difficult to access due being in a corner and the bedside cabinet position. Only 2 shelves in wardrobe, one on the floor, so had to get on your hands and knees, again the far section difficult due to bedside table, a second shelf at the top at least 6/7 feet up, could only be reached by standing on flimsy chair. no other drawer or shelf space. No where to store suitcases, floor space minimal. The only place would have been in front of the room door or in the shower, either would have meant continual moving them, fortunately my husband was able to stand on the flimsy chair to put them on top of very tall wardrobe, this was not an easy manoeuvre. Bathroom was large, shower was large but pressure and heat was erratic. Breakfast was usual adequate 3 star fare, but the quality of the coffee was very poor indeed.

Best location

Very nice and helpful staff. The location doesn't get better when staying in Gardone Riviera. The breakfast is very nice and the room was clean. The room had a wonderful little balcony with a view over the lake. Included in the stay was access to a garden called Lido that has a pool, bar, restaurant and sunbeds.

Would have been nice to have a pool at the hotel but the Lido was very nice.

Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Nice reception area. Good food in restaurant. Breakfast offered wide selection as a buffet. Use of beach club was a nice offering.

Too bad one area of the promenade was closed due to construction nearby.

Exceptional Hotel in the heart of Gardone Riveria

The Hotel Du Lac was exceptional in every way The hotel staff were wonderful and very helpful, the restaurant staff were awesome and the food is amazing. Our room was brilliant on the 2nd floor with a large terrace and balcony overlooking the lake and very very clean with all your needs catered for. This was our first trip to Italy and Lake Garda, thank you hotel du lac for making this a very memorable trip for all the good reasons. we highly recommend you visit this Hotel on your trip to Lake Garda.
