I wouldn’t stay there again.

Staff very polite and helpful

Very tired and dated. Mould on walls, bathroom tatty and not very clean. Lumpy duvet and old worn mattress.

Once full refurbished, great value and food quality excellent.

Staff very attentive and the food, albeit not a large selection was fantastic, the flavours exceptional, worthy of a high end restaurant (My partner is a chef).

Whilst appreciating refurbishing work is necessary, feel adjustments should have been made by the team, no stair carpets and room decor partly dated, Aircon/ heating the same. The continuously moving of furniture through most of the night, a bit off-putting. No doubt a temporary issues, so should not put people off staying to try the food.

Awful hotel.

Bed was comfortable

Could not gain entry to the hotel. It was locked up when we arrived at 6pm. No instructions how to get in. Was looking for other hotels when a guest turned up and we followed him in. If he hadn't turned up then we wouldn't have been able to get in. No staff at all in the hotel and the complimentary tea and coffee had no sugar or milk. Waste of money and not impressed.

We weren't able to stay - despite having paid. The booking was a scam

Nothing - the hotel was closed despite having paid in full for reservations upfront and having had confirmation emails

We arrived after a nine hour drive with young children to find the hotel closed, locked up, unlit, unmanned with no other guests. We eventually reached someone by who gave us a key box number that didn't work. After half an hour someone opened the front door and said we could use a room but we weren't going to stay in an unstaffed hotel with no facilities open and no security open on a bleak industrial estate with young children all night or leave our cars and luggage in an empty car park so we left. The hotel is a disgrace and Originals City should be ashamed of the way they treat their guests.

Excellent staff friendly and helpful. Extremely hot day when I stayed so the air conditioning a must. Breakfast was plentiful and they have a restaurant on site to cater for your needs. Room and ensuite was reasonable and bed was comfy. Had tea & coffee making facilities a bonus. All was good.

Convenient overnight in Le Mans, but currently with silly mask hassle

Regular visitor to this hotel, as there's parking & it is convenient for the Tesla Charger at the Auchan shopping centre. The rooms are pretty basic and the bed was fine. Relatively quiet, this time. After explaining my plans to socially distance, I was allowed in without a mask

As in both France & Portugal, I got serious grief on entry about not wearing a silly mask. I went straight to my room, didn't interact with anyone or take breakfast (all as usual) & in the morning dropped the key & ran. Didn't bother with hotels after this negative experience. It's really stupid, but to be fair to them, the staff are just doing their jobs & owners are complying with the ridiculous laws.
