Professional staff and understanding owners. A misunderstanding on the website was resolved without fuss. The lady we dealt with was really helpful and tried everything to accommodate.

I feel the challenge we had which was a confusion in the Booking.com description was not the fault of the hotel. We needed a restaurant which the hotel to not have, a simply misunderstanding.

Faded Grandeur

Lovely breakfast. Good location. Friendly helpful staff. Direct access to garden. Parking. The main house is lovely - very 'faded grandeur' :-)

Smell of dog in bedroom (my fault for not noticing the hotel's 'pets welcome' status) - I'm allergic to dogs, so was itchy and sneezing. It didn't bother my partner :-) Extra pillows in small cupboard were sour smelling and couldn't be used. The bed protector drew sweat - though I understand why it's thought necessary to have one. Shower was slow to drain. No WiFi available. No in-room 'mini bar' though the manual indicated there would be one. We paid £111 for the room (can't recall the price in euros as I paid in advance) and €28 for breakfast - the room felt expensive for what it was, though breakfast was good.

Superb quite location In typical French style.

What a fabulous location. Access along lovely tree lined avenue. Plenty of grounds and quiet. Excellent petit dejeuner, all fresh, good selection and value, and very nice pastries.

We booked the Mekong themed room but we were not given this room even though we were the only people staying. We arrived after 21.00 and were told that we should have called even though we had said already that we would be arriving after 21.00 and an email from the hotel said arrivals ok until 22.00. The room we had was fine but it would have been better to have what we had booked. No explanation or apology was offered.

Bed was supreme. We overslept. Place was very rustic & hosts were lovely. Lovely grounds and total silence at night.

WiFi did not reach our room. Apart from breakfast which was lovely there was no food available except from Lidl. This however is a French thing. No restaurant food between 2pm & 7:30pm.

Quirky, stylish and friendly comfort in peaceful country setting.

We loved the quirkiness of the Safari room. The breakfast in the neighbouring pretty, stylish and historic 'mini-chateau' was excellent and the owner friendly and attentive.

Especially after dark it can be hard to find, as the road-side sign only mentions the mini-chateau next door and NOT the 4 Seasons at all !

森の中にありゆっくり時間が流れる様で優雅に過ごせた朝食は別料金だったが、凄く充実していて満足だった特にクロワッサンは素晴らしかったマダムも優しく迎えてくれて、バスで行ってしまった私たちを車でバス停まで送ってくれた()

ル・マンの中心部から少し離れているためそういう意味では少し不便だった (但し、車で行けば問題は無い) 少し寒かったか、そう話すと夜中にも関わらずマダムが追加で一つストーブを持って来てくれた

Séjour hors du temps

Des hôtes très accueillants et disponibles, des vieilles pierres chargées d'histoire mais en parfait état d'entretien. Un mobilier d'époque. Un petit déjeuner digne des plus grands hôtels. Un bouquet de fleurs fraîches dans la chambre à notre arrivée. Le calme, la nature, cet endroit est très chouette. Ce lieu et ses propriétaires étaient une superbe rencontre, nous reviendrons. Si vous aimez les lieux aseptisés et standardisés, fuyez, vous ne méritez pas cet hôtel.

La saison !... Ce lieu doit être encore plus agréable de mai à octobre quand la végétation a poussé.
