Great short stay

Beautifully decorated rooms in an old Manor House - writers themed rooms. We were in Jules Verne room which was spacious & comfortable. The attention to detail with ornaments & old books was really lovely. The central location was perfect for exploring the old medieval town & finding restaurants close by.

As B&B owners ourselves we prefer to be met by someone on arrival - also we were given the wrong entry code so after 10 minutes of trying to open the door we had to ring someone for help. Eventually the lady realised they had given us the wrong code & gave us the correct code. If this had happened after 10pm we would not have been able to have access as there is no help available after 10pm! There was no shower gel/shampoo left in the shower.

We needed a comfortable night to break our long drive south and we found a super place.

Interesting and attractive house. Just by fabulous cathedral.

Actually for me it was pretty well perfect. I hoped the cathedral would open before we left, but I can’t blame the owner for the fact that it didn’t. One tiny thing is that the shower doesn’t convert to overhead showering unless you hold in the catch. Maybe it’s broken?

Author themed rooms steeped in history - super view of the city and the Cathedral... parking - impossible next to the property but the underground car park @Jacobins is good and not expensive. Property right by the tram station. Sunday morning is a superb market

Comfortable, relaxing, and it was quiet at bedtime.

The location is perfect. It is close to the old part of Le Mans and right next to the breathtaking Cathedral. On Sundays there is an open air market that has prepared food from trucks as well as fruits, vegetables, cheeses, meats, bread, etc, etc. It is also really close to the tram and it is easy to use to and from the train station or other locations you might want to get to.

Location was perfect, close to the centre of the city and 300m from a safe underground car park.

No lift available, however this was not a problem for us as we are an active couple.

Perfect stop in central Le Mans.

The location was perfect for exploring the old town. The area was quiet but close to restaurants for dinner. We liked the old world ambiance. It was very clean.

No-one for checkin, which felt strange. There was nowhere close open for breakfast and nothing available on-site.

The location was fabulous. Perfectly clean. Great facilities. Themed rooms interesting. Ours overlooked the cathedral. Plenty to read. Near cathedral and other buildings which were beautifully illuminated.

Better explanation of road access would be good. Even so we were really lucky to get parked in a tiny square nearby over night up to 10am.

Terrific accomodation in a great location.

The rooms are in a beautiful historic building right next to the cathedral in the old town. Our room was spacious and tastefully decorated and was perfectly placed to explore the medieval and new town. There are cafes, bars and restaurants very close by and helpful recommendations about which to visit. It's a unique, lovingly restored place to stay.

Le Mans annual music festival was happening the weekend we stayed, which meant we couldn't access the streets near the property - they were closed off and parking was hard, plus we had a sound stage right outside our bedroom window, which overlooked the town square. This meant we were awake because of the noise until 3am and then the farmer's market set up at 5.30am. Appreciate this was outside the property's control and we would have appreciated knowing how much our booking was going to be impacted beforehand. The room also had no aircon or fan and it was a super hot night, but the noise made it hard to keep the windows open. There's no lift, so getting up the beautiful but narrow and steep flight of stairs might be an issue for some.

An enjoyable stay

The room was very comfortable and fully met our expectations. The major positive was the location in the old town adjacent to the cathedral so very much in the heart of Le Mans

No negatives but things you should be aware of: (1) There is no elevator so not for those with mobility issues. (2) There is no air-conditioning for very hot days but the fan is effective and the room was airy. (3) There is no room service but there are plenty of cafes & restaurants a short distance away.

Le Mans!

Right next to the cathedral in a really cool spot overlooking the square. Sensitively refurbished to a high spec - great bathroom. Ours was the Dumas room and the literary feel was great too. Owner thoughtful and helpful - very clear instructions. Nice courtyard. Really thoughtful to offer dinner and breakfast recommendations with menus. Helped a lot and very accurate.

Everything great about the accommodation. We accidentally picked a race week so slightly noisy at night ( but also part of it's great appeal as a central location). Parking separate and payable overnight- recommend Jacobins for parking. Owner information helpful here too.

Berbattı tavsiye etmiyorum.

Baştan sona fiyasko. Akşam 8.00 gibi ulaştık. Bina bomboş .Alt kattaki odalar boş fakat çatı katında 2 oda vermişler. Banyo olayı yok. Icine girip duş alamayacak kadar küçük ve yamuk ayakta duramazsınız. Örümcekler her tarafından sarkıyor. Yatağın üstünden gecen kalaslar var. Büyük tek kişilik oda 20m2 diye tuttuk. 10m2 bile degil ve bize çatı katı verilmek istendi. Resimlerdeki odayla bize tahsis edilen oda cok farklıydı. Başka oda verilsin bu odalarda kalınamaz dedigimizde ev sahibi " bu sizin sorununuz, benim değil" dedi. Bavullar elimizde gecenin 3.30 una kadar otel aramak zorunda kaldık. Özür dilemediler, paramızı iade edilmediler.

Booking ev sahibi ile yaşadığımız süreci yönetmekte yetersiz kaldı. Sorunumuzu çözemedi.

Nous avons adoré sa localisation ainsi que la décorations de la chambre

Les draps du lit sentait la poussière, les oreillers sont très dur, les serviettes de douches étaient très rêches et il y avait que des grandes. La peinture de la salle de bain étaient très écaillé et ça manquait d’une raclette pour la douche.
