Great location but wouldn't come back

The location was great - easy to walk to the beach and nice and close to things we wanted to do.

Black mold in the main shower. Lots of damp issues dotted around the house. Lots of rats running around inside/on the roof on the saturday night. Outside furniture is very old. Random person entering a back room on the property was odd. The green grass pictured at the back of the house has been replaced by another house.

Very comfortable, well located cottage. The bottle of wine & chocolates from Louis was a nice touch.

The 'pop-up' plug in the bathroom basin jammed in the closed position, so we could not use this basin (nobody's fault, these things happen). One of the window hinges in the twin bedroom upstairs had broken off, so the window was swinging open in the strong wind during the second night of our stay - this needs to be repaired.

Lovely location with lots of space for a family, and spacious kitchen.

The location in Voelklip was perfect for what we needed, really close to beautiful beaches, right beside Lizette's for breakfast/dinner, and because we had a car it was very commutable to Hermanus centre. There was lots of space in the property and the two living areas upstairs and down was really handy for out family. The kitchen was well equipped and there was space outdoors also if needed.

We visited in winter and the property was really cold, even with a heater and stove on the ground floor. The upstairs rooms, especially the one with the dormer roof were really really cold at night.

Ants in the kitchen was a spoiler. Had to throw out my cereal on day 1. Would be nice to have some courteously bath soap and lotions for guests. Place was humid, better aeration needed.

Old-fashioned cottage with a fireplace

A cottage in old-fashioned style. So be ready that facilities and furniture are not new, but they have its own style. Kitchen is full of cooking staff and tableware. Neighborhood is quite safe and looks nice, there is no fence around the house, but there is an alarm system.

During winter season it was a little bit cold, but there is a fireplace, a gas heater and a small electric heater. There were electric sheets in the beds. So we were quite comfortable, but take warm pajamas with you. I think this advice is common for all apartments at this period of the year. When we arrived there were no firewood, but we asked and we were provided with it next day. I would suggest to give firewood in the beginning, because you don’t know where to take it when you arrive and there is a load shedding. At the time of load shedding, there was no generator, so no electricity, but wi-fi worked and there were several lamps with batteries, so it was tolerable.

Very nice house in a great location

Great location. so close to the cliff path and beaches. Five minutes drive into Hermanus centre where there was lots of free parking. Great pub/ restaurant 2 minutes walk. Very spacious clean and well equipped house

All over it was a nice stay

The property is situated near the walking paths along the beach which brings you right to Grotto beach and Dutchies. In our road was the Lizettes kitchen which was nice to watch the tennis during lockdown and have dinner or breakfasr must just remember to book.

The house is very cold in winter and the fireplace is not good enough to warm it up. After being provided with heaters it was better. Wifi was jit string enough to have a teams meeting which qas a bit friustrating as we had to work while being there. The little stepladder at the stoep is a bot wobbly and that stoep is a danger for small kids
