Great location with sea and mountain views!

This property has a great location. It is spacious, well equipped and has both mountain and sea views from the first floor.

Some tenants may find the steps a bit challenging. The main bedroom and kitchen and dining room are upstairs. It wasn't a problem for us.

Exceptional

Beautiful and quiet place. The house is so clean and fresh. Lots of board games and having a pool table was a bonus, Having 2 tv's was a blessing coz kids could watch whilst the adults play music. Everything about the place was amazing. The owner kept us updated at all times .

Just at night, swarms of flying insects invade the braai area preventing it from braai late or sitting outside.

Fantastic location, spacious, clean, amazing hosts, gorgeous home.

We absolutely loved our time at Akwa!! The hosts were so accommodating and amazing, super friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay a great experience. The house exceeded our expectation. We had one rainy day that we spent in the house and we had such a great time. We had a braai, enjoyed playing pool and ping pong, we used the bar and really made the most of all the indoor amenities. At night we all sat around the (huge and very cozy and comfortable) living room curled up by the fire place. The hosts had left wood at the house with was so sweet of them. The next day was sunny and we very happy with the proximity we were to the beach. We went to the beach and then took a short drive into town for some lunch. We managed to whale watch from the restaurant. The house had everything we needed and more for a great weekend away, it was clean, comfortable, spacious and the perfect get away spot. We will be returning in the future.

ideal house for a large group of people staying as plenty of entertainment space and lovely terraces

location and very spacious for a group of people. comfortable beds and nicely decorated. the photos on website reflect what you get when renting the house.

struggled to open sliding doors to terrace in dining area as comes off its runners, no dustpan and brush, measuring jug and a couple of other useful bits of kitchen equipment. ideally it would be great to have a loo on the entertainment area as guests either had to use our bathroom or go downstairs to their own.

We had an enjoyable stay

Spacious, good facilities (braai, pool table, table tennis), stunning views of the sea and the mountains, sociable spaces, good entertainment facilities, good location for the beaches and walking trails, a responsive host

Some facilities need to be upgraded - the stove needs to be fixed, some of the light fittings not working, table tennis board unstable, dishwasher needs to be serviced, pre-cleaning could have been better, the TV in the bar could not be linked to the DSTV, the lawn was not cut before we arrived (we ended up not using the garden)

Fabulous house for families or large groups

This property was fabulous! 4 of the 5 bedrooms had en-suite bathrooms, there was an amazing chill out space for the kids and grown ups alike to play pool and table tennis. There was also a fully fitted bar area where we enjoyed afternoon snacks every day. Upstairs there was a gorgeous fully fitted kitchen with everything a home cook desires. My sister-in-law loved the kitchen so much and said she could spend all day in their cooking up weird and wonderful things because it was everything she wanted. The hosts and managing agents also provided more than just the bare essentials (even cling wrap and foil)! There were multiple areas for braai, and relaxation on the expansive outdoor terraces. It was a bit windy when we were there but it would be wonderful on a wind free evening.

The kids would have loved a swimming pool.

Akwa Hermanus

Great location 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms - a definite plus

It is a beautiful spacious house. The light in the twin bedroom barely works. Needed a braai scraper for the coals. It was mentioned that there would be wood. Luckily we took some along as there were none. No braai casserole for the meat. It needs some pots. Only 5/6 wine glasses - all shapes and sizes. The triangle outside at the braai very delapidated. For safety there should be rails at every staircase. New showerheads will be great. The house has great potential. If these things could be looked at we will definitely visit again. Btw.... Your promotion video says Awka.... Always love Hermanus xx
