Great place for economy traveller.

Great support from staff. Communal kitchen and great quality private toilet on top of communal ones. Comfy bed, fridge, good amount of equipment and furniture. Very happy with staff interaction.

Google maps shows location two blocks away but that's really small issue.

This is the second time I have stayed here and everything is perfect as far as I'm concerned. The host is very helpful and friendly. I will be working down in the Derby area again later this month and I have already booked the Braemar Guest House for my stay.

shower…. took so long to start and get hot. got moaned at with a snotty note telling me to turn the shower off…. who would leave a room without turning off the shower…. cheesed me off some what… top floor ( in the roof ) very narrow stairs and corridor

I should of paid more to stay in a better location with other guests who are more respectful

The room was nice and clean plus the wifi was very good

Spend three nights there and every night and into the early hours till 5am there was consistently doors banging, people stomping about and making a unreasonable amount of noise thought-out the night waking me up every night on multiple occasions so got next to no sleep Plus when I got to the B&B after I finished work they was work men in the back garden doing some sort of gardening restructuring using jack hammers and smashing up the concrete and making a LOT of noise until after 7.30pm As for parking there is only about 8 parking spots and there is at least 30 different rooms so you have to be so very lucky to get parked otherwise it is on the roadside further down the street again if you can find somewhere In hindsight I should of paid the extra £10 a night and stayed elsewhere in a better part of Derby where I could of gott more than a couple of hours of broken sleep

Comfortable and good value for money.

Comfortable old style guesthouse on the outskirts of the city. Host very pleasant and friendly and offered me a free upgrade to a double room. The bed was very comfortable and the room had an armchair and table as well as a TV and fridge. Breakfasts are not served here so the fridge was important to be able to stock up with food. Regular bus routes pass the door including the Skylink to the airport. A very pleasant park and the River Derwent are only a short distance away.

If your in derby look this place up. 10/10

Room was a perfect size bottom floor which suited me! The shower was powerful and felt refreshed after every shower. Cleaned everyday bins changed and fresh towels provided. I’ll be back in derby the second week of July again and I’ll be checking to see if this place has availability. And also very happy with the price of the stay
