I would stay here again if in the area

Comfortable, clean , great location close to major roads , friendly staff . The breakfast included was very good.

The water could have been warmer when showering it was just passable .

Great staff, friendly and helpful

On arrival our room was upstairs and at end of the corridor and it was not easy for my wife to get to so I went back to reception and they immediately changed the room for an accessible one, so we now know what to ask for when we book again. Nothing was too much trouble.

Lack of shelf for toiletries etc in Wet-room, otherwise ok.

Great to have a down stairs room, the property is nice, my observation I would have all ground floor hotel rooms with patio doors instead of windows or both to then create a small individual garden outside for the the ground floor rooms increase the price for the extra space compared to the rooms upstairs

The staff were amazing, friendly and super helpful.

The 'wardrobe' wasnt really fit for purpose and there wasn't really any where to hang things in the bathroom. The curtains didn't close properly, therefore the McDonald's sign was always visible. Not great when trying to sleep.

Highly recommend for Derby ventures

The location to Derby velodrome, and sports University. The large, clean, comfortable rooms. The on site restaurant. The nearby location of McDonald's for extra early breakfasts. The helpful staff who quickly sorted a booking mistake; on arrival we were allocated a double room, but had booked a room for three people. Staff moved us to a family room.

Will stay again!

Both dinner and breakfast were good and plentiful, the family room had plenty of space for two adults and two small kids, big bathroom, big TV, etc etc but the REAL highlight was the aftercare customer service. My daughter left her beloved stuffy behind and, after calling, the staff found it and shipped it back to us with a note and a little stuffed friend. It arrived today and we were all chuffed to bits. Thank you so much to the lovely team for going the extra mile. We will definitely be back because of it!!

The only tiny things I'd suggest are shampoo/ conditioner in the bathroom and we stayed right inside the main entrance to the hotel and could hear the door throughout the evening. It didn't keep us awake but better soundproofing just for that one room would be even better.

I booked a family room and when I opened the door , the bed was a double. No way was I sharing a double with my 19year son , within 3 minutes I was in another room with twin beds . Not Blue jays fault at all , but this was the only issue

Clean, comfortable, and excellent value for money!

Staff were excellent and a big thank you for Felicity for helping us when we needed to change a couple of things on the booking.

Only down point are the doors to the hotel rooms and the fact you can’t close them quietly so felt bad for our neighbors in early hours.

The continental breakfast was a little lacking , only cereal, fruit, porridge, toast and croissants. No yogurt, or fruit for porridge like raisins etc. Orange juice tasted watered down.

The carvery experience would put me off staying there again.

Sticky tables in the adjoining pub. Miserly meet portions from the carvery. Most dinner options were unhealthy with far too many calories and saturated fat. Some healthier food options would be better.
