Hotel Cloud 9 Negombo

It was comfortable and clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was about a 10/15 minute walk to the beach and restaurants. Good value for money. Room was a decent size and hot showers. Free breakfast of toast, eggs, fruit, daal, which was decent enough.

It was a little bit far away from the beach but we were fine walking so it wasn’t a problem. There wasn’t a bar/ restaurant, only breakfast provided, which again wasn’t a problem but might’ve been nice if we could grab a beer there or something.

We originally booked one night but managed to book two in total and upgrade our room. Such wonderful service from them and the owner was around too who was warm and welcoming- thank you. The staff!! Friendly and helpful especially Suneth. The room. Spacious and clean and comfortable. The location. Close to the airport but away from Colombo. The pool!!!! The breakfast. Plenty of it and delicious. Our room came with free breakfast and airport transfer. Really convenient. Recommended a spa that provides excellent spa treatments and included the tuk tuk to/from. Able to pay and arrange for a late check out prior to arrival as we had afternoon/evening flights which was really helpful.

The room was not what we expected. Very dated, fool of mosquitos and unclean. The soap was from the previous customers and no water was provided.
