スタッフさんがどの方もとても親切丁寧でした。 温泉もとても気持ち良く、朝ごはんのみいただきましたが、とても美味しかったです。

特にありません

Very traditional and loved our special suite with the private open air onsen. Our son and his family stayed in a family quad on futons and enjoyed it immensely. Everyone loved the public open air and inside onsens. The three adults who ate the traditional Japanese breakfast loved it.

Location a little remote

When I saw that a couple people had given poor reviews, I had to read them to see what they could possibly be disappointed about. Ignore those reviews. Jyuan is a phenomenal Japanese lodging experience, exceeded only by my stay at the best ryokan in Japan, in Kyoto, which cost substantially more. The facilities are absolutely beautiful, including the exceptionally spacious rooms, and the baths/onsen. Meals at Jyuan are off the charts; they don’t get better than this. The natural surroundings are simply beautiful. We spent a full day hiking along the river, and saw only three other people all day. The following day we went whitewater rafting, which was an incredibly nice experience. Finally, you won’t find better customer service anywhere in the world. Flawless.

The only legitimate considerations would be: 1) The town is extremely small — not the place for shopping or noisy nightlife. There’s only one restaurant outside the hotel (but it’s very good). 2) The meals at the hotel are phenomenally good, but purely Japanese. When in Rome….
