Hotel Garten

conveniently located in quiet area, four bus stations from city center.

guests make noise-out of control of hotel-and if you are light sleeper, you will not get much sleep. the room was heated in early September-the floor was hot all the time, i think it was the water. there was no a/c, Internet was non existent, and the stairs are inconvenient to carry luggage-no elevator of course!

The greatest problem is NO WLAN at all in my room, even though my own data is not available, the signal was really bad, I can't contact my friends and family at all. I have to go to the information desk hall to use the public WLAN to send emails. I was going for an international conference, can you imagine how can I work if there is no Internet? You should know that the hotel offers free WiFi, which is mentioned on their advertisement website. That's too bad! Moreover, their information desk is only available between 9,00 to 18,00, which time is covered perfectly with my working time, which means I can't find anyone for helping if I am in the hotel. That's too bad! In addition, the breakfast was too "simple", only two kinds of bread, three kinds of cheese and butter, two choices for meat. All and all, not so many choices. However it costs €9.5!!! In my opinion, it's worth up to 5 euro. Therefore, I had this breakfast only for one morning, and gave up to have breakfast in their hotel, even though its a business trip for me, I can get all money back. But I'd rather pay for my own breakfast!

The room that they gave me was full, but immediately they gave me another which was much better than mine. Room was clean, mattress was comfortable and staff was friendly.

I did not liked nothing.

There is reception but closed.I had got already advised when Have booked but there was no body.I have waited at the door for 40 minutes.The hotel is 2 parts.A few rooms are where the reception and there is WiFi in those rooms.There is an other building behind of the reception with separate entrance and there is no WiFi in those 12 rooms.But at booking says; there is free WiFi. It is a Lear. I would liked to leave immediatly hotel but the owner did not want to advice booking.com for to cancellation.And he did not want to refund my payment. I have been in many countries in many hotel.I did not seen any hotel as like as hotel Garten even I do not seen a hotel in Albaniaas like as Hotel Garten.I have seen the first time a soo bad hotel .And second evening I returned to my room.I have seen that they did not done cleaning.They had not changed tuch and duvet cover.I have asked from them why they did done it.They have requested extra payment for to change the duvet cover. But they don't take responsibility. The cost that I have paid is to much.The room cost can be any 30-40 euros at the Hotel Garten but not around 70 euros. And the hotel is so far from center and main train station.It is difficult to find it.

very welcoming, Elvis greeted us upon arrival although it was after 7pm. Free parking on site, ideal location and nice room with good shower!

Breakfast was very basic, no air con in the room so quite disturbed at night do to the very hot weather.

Very clean, comfortable and easy to reach with public transport. Definitely value for money. Will stay again gladly

Maybe some hand soap at the sink would be nice. There was only soap in the shower.

The silence of the place

I had to wait a very long time before someone appeared at the hotel reception

Very spacious room, location good for what we needed, car parking available, very friendly staff. Breakfast available for a fee. Although we didn't have breakfast in the hotel, we saw the dining room on our last day and the breakfast looked superb. Fancy electronic lock meant we could easily indicate whether we wanted to have the room cleaned or be left alone.

Slightly tricky to find, maybe a sign or more detailed directions sent beforehand could be useful. WiFi access code not supplied at check in

I extremely liked this place. The staff was very nice and friendly. The room and the bathroom were clean and nice. Exceeded my expectations.

There is no fridge.

Would like milk for tea, bathroom extractor would be best suited on manual operation & some method to prevent shower water from going onto main floor of bathroom in such volumes.
