A disappointment experience in a very good hotel

The hotel is very well located close to the train station and downtown. Despite is not cheap, the service, room and breakfast are very good. Over the last 35 years I have been there more than one hundred times for business purposes.

This time I was hosted in the room 531, in the additional building that they have arranged as expansion of the hotels few years ago and it is the first time I was there. The room is over the street, and the acoustic isolation of the windows is not enough making it impossible to sleep after 5:00 due the traffic noise. I would like to be again in the hotel, but never in one room that has this orientation.

Air conditioning not working, staff arranged a different room, unfortunately with no luck. Parking is extremely tight and difficult and expensive for what is offered.

Great value, convenient location close to the airport and train for a stopover

Excellent location - a short walk from the train station, which is 15 min away from the airport. The room was very spacious (the Comfort Queen), and the call to the reception confirmed that our 5yo could stay for free if they sleep in our bed (you need to enter 2 adults when booking). The bed was very comfortable, and the pourover coffee and good quality tea bags in the room were a really nice touch. Highly recommend!

Avoid the boarding house / annex if you are expecting a hotel

Location was great

For close to 100 eur a room I would have expected more service and amenities. No coffee or tea in the room despite there being a coffee maker and cups. When asking the receptionist, we were told it's not included, but weren't even offered any for additional payment. So we would need to go and buy a whole pack of filters and coffee in a supermarket. We also could not get access to an iron and ironing board which meant we had to rock up to our event in wrinkled clothing. No aircon or any other air exchange in the rooms means we needed to open the windows. Not great when you have people smoking below! Pillows were flat and not comfortable either. It wasn't particularly clean and there was no cleaning during the stay. I have stayed in the main hotel and was always very happy but this boarding house concept is not well thought through. Particularly it is not clear that it only is a room with a bed and bathroom, and absolutely nothing else.

Value for money?! A pure joke!

Facilities: we looked at 5 different rooms before picking one as there was no proper heating in any of the rooms. When we finally got a room that was relatively warm (helped by an electric heater that we found in a separate room) we did not have enough pillows and duvets so we had to take some from a different room. A complete shambles. The receptionist pretended that he doesn’t speak english so left us to ‘enjoy the stay’.

nicely decorated hotel well located

beautifully redecorated hotel. Common areas look very nice. Wonderful breakfast with very kind lady serving us and making our eggs to our wishes. Excellent parking underground with elevator directly to the sleeping floors so very little carrying around with bags. With used the place as a one night sleepover towards our holidays.

hotel was refurbished, but seems the air conditioning system was forgotten. Noisy system in my room (102) and the system cannot be turned off. First had room 128 where the noise was even worse. Secondly, the shower needs to be fixed and tightened, now it can't be adjusted so that the water falls on your head (in Dutch: douchekop is slap)

unpresentable Fitness center with old machines (only 3) and installed in wrong location ( relax rooms). I stayed one week and the replacement of the towels was not included together with the room’s cleaning

I knew the hotel, location is excellent . We were accommodated in the boarding house or annex , which was known to us. The rooms are new , high standard equipped.

not known to us prior to booking was that room cleaning comes at an extra charge , too few towels for winter month if no room cleaning is booked prior, tea and coffee making facilities are of high quality but no tea , coffee, sugar satchets are provided .I would expect it in a 4 star hotel and it cannot be excused with the “ Covid excuse”. Parking comes at an extra fee which I would also expect to be covered in a 4 star hotel, considering that the park house is not fully booked.
