Apartments ABA Zagreb

The location was excellent, in a lovely neighborhood with plenty of restaurants, cafés, and pastry shops nearby. It was also conveniently located for visiting the main sightseeing spots. The property itself was very clean, and the room was spacious, comfortable, and spotless. Although I would describe it more as a large private room within an apartment rather than a completely independent apartment, the space itself was very nice. The owners were also very friendly and welcoming. I only met the husband, but he was a genuinely kind and friendly person.

My main issue was privacy. Although it is advertised as an apartment, it is actually a large room within a bigger apartment. The owners live right next door, and there are strict house rules, including not being allowed to bring guests. This made me feel uncomfortable and monitored, especially since I booked an apartment expecting more privacy and freedom. The air conditioning was also not powerful enough to properly cool the room during the hot August weather, even when set to 20°C. Finally, during the last two days, the shower water was extremely cold, making it impossible to take a proper shower.

Great location. An easy walk to the bus stops, supermarkets, cafes etc within easy reach.

The toilet and shower space was tight. The carpet in the toilet area is a bit strange.

- The description about the internal arrangements of the studio is missing information (or it is not that evident) - for instance, the studio is actually part of the refurbished larger appartment where you share internal hallway with the hosts - The hallway is permanently having a rather distinct odour - The furniture is outdated and internal design is not as completely according to the available photos on the website - Lot of unfinished construction works are expected along the place - kitchen and bathroom have several of these details to report - Heating is not traditional, but depends on the AC (which is not inconvenient, however, it dries the air in the studio) - Cleanliness is an issue on occasions (i.e., shower or certain corners of the studio) - Intternal window providing you insights in the bathroom activities from the kitchen is rather bizarre piece of architecture
