I liked its location near the train station. It also has a kitchen.

1. The price is high compared to other hostels in Japan and what you get here, I booked here only due to rain as I didn’t intend to stay in the town overnight. 2. There’s not much space, it’s quite narrow although I felt comfortable because there was wasn’t many people around.

Convivial atmosphere. Old style charm.

‘Left luggage’ turned into extra hustle, cancelled return night accordingly.

At first didn’t like the set up in old Japanese style house but then liked it a lot. Sleeping on futon,on the floor,nice windows,reasonably equipped kitchen,old style shower areas. Quite a lot of space as only four futons in reasonable size room. Very nice owner and staff.

Heating on cold day with paraffin heater.

The location and the guy at the reception were really nice points

It was very loud … I has the bed close to the street and there is like a paper wall, very beautiful and traditional Japanese one but you could really hear the street noise. Furthermore you could hear everything that was happening in the kitchen or in the bathroom from the bedroom. And to end with, it is not the fault of the hostel but the other persons I shared the room with were so loud, there was a group of 3 friends speaking in the dormitory like if they were in their living room … not understanding what is a shared dormitory … so I had pretty bad night there and was really tired after
