Simply perfect

Everything with our stay was simply perfection. Jele greeted us on arrival and was the warmest host we have ever experienced. She sat with us and used a map to tell us how to access everything we might possibly wish to visit during our stay. Including information on bus routes and how to catch them and the cheapest supermarkets around the accommodation. Jele also checked in on us throughout our stay ensuring we had no questions or concerns alongside providing fresh oranges. There was one other room occupied during our stay but the bathroom was always kept clean and towels were refreshed half way. 10/10 accommodation even out of season and we have already recommended this room to several others. Location was fabulous too and easy to use the buses from here.

The room had everything, the location was great - a short walk from the old town, supermarkets nearby and even some pekaras (bakeries), the host was super super nice and friendly, warmly received us and informed us about everything as well as gave us recommendations about Dubrovnik, cosy and clean - excellent!

Very hospitable family who rentet out. The housewife cleaned my laundry for free. She came to my door with homemade birthday cake on my birthday. The best people possible to rent accommodation from. I am very happy with my stay. If I come back to Dubrovnik I will return to Nicolina Rooms.

Feels like home

We really liked our time at nikolina rooms. Jele was an amazing host. She really took her time to make it comfortable for us. She showed us al the must visit places on her maps and she came by to check how we were doing. She even got us figs from her own tree. The room was good and had everything we needed. We stayed here for 10 nights, so we broke the record for the longest stay. The area is also amazing. Thank you so much Jele for the amazing time, you made Dubrovnik unforgettable!

It was a very nice stay! Jede (Nikolina's mum) was the best and most helpfulf host we could expect.

The best part was definitely Jede (Nikolina's mum and host). She went above and beyond, very accommodating and helpful in any way we could have expected. We 100% would stay again. Although the accommodation was not within easy walking distance of the old city, it was really easy to find (we arrived very late a night) and very close to the bus stop to the old town, the port and many other points of interest. Near shops, bakeries, restaurants, a delicious dessert shop and seafront. We had a great time!

The bathroom was shared with another room, and we had to wash our plates and cutlery in the bathroom sink as we didn't have a kitchen. I would rent the studio option next time for extra comfort.

Dubrovnik is a Balkan Paradise

We are extremely grateful for Yele's hospitality, useful tourist guidance, and a lot of care for our accommodation! Our room was small but nice equipped and quiet. The host was ready to help us with literally everything, and I believe that it is impossible to find a better accommodation in Dubrovnik.

It's not about the accommodation, but while going to Dubrovnik - be ready for steep stairs everywhere :) This host is the best one I ever met.

Wonderful Stay – Felt Like a Home Away from Home

The room was spacious, spotless, and well-equipped with a fridge, a small kettle, and dishes. The location was absolutely perfect, just a short walk from the port, close to local markets, bakeries, coffee shops, and conveniently located near the bus stop to the Old Town. What truly made my stay exceptional was the hostess-teta Jela. She was incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful. She provided me with fantastic recommendations on how to make the most of my trip, including budget-friendly tips for restaurants and tourist attractions. When the TV wasn’t working, it was fixed immediately. My flight back to Ireland was really early in the morning, and Miss Jele and her daughter helped me to find the app to book the taxi. As a lovely personal touch, she even brought me fresh fruit, just because I mentioned I like watermelon, and a small gift as a memory from Dubrovnik. I truly felt welcomed and cared for. This place felt like a home away from home. I would stay here again!

Dubrovnik is a beautiful city, safe and clean. Love it.

The excellent location of the hostel allowed us to walk around the city, go to the beach (Sunset Beach) on foot, good location for restaurants. Breakfast was on us. Lovely beers.

The only thing it was not the best, all the beaches are stony. We have to be careful at.

Wonderful, comfortable and easy stay near Gruz Port - a great location near the ferry and boats!

Staying at Nikolina rooms was so lovely! It is in a wonderful location very close to the Gruz port (perfect for ferries or day boat trips) and close to bus routes in to the Old Town and around Dubrovnik. Yele was a brilliant and attentive host - she gave us so many good recommendations and was very helpful! I would recommend staying here to anyone coming to Dubrovnik.

Feels like staying at a local friend/family

So much good stuff to say about this place and the host…Jele is very accommodating! Mind you that she walked my friend and I around the pier to take our boat for the tour. She has great recommendations and various tips for anything. She really know the surroundings.

You’ll share a bathroom with other guests in the second bedroom but it’s easily manageable. Not big deal really.

Amazing host and amazing property

Nikolina was SUCH an amazing host! She was SO accommodating and super sweet. My friend and I stayed here and both our flights landed very late and night and she waited for us on the porch past midnight! She would check in with us once a day and see what we were doing that day and gave us tips for stuff to do in old town. She was awesome overall and the property was very clean.

Our host Jela is a wonderful person.

Our host was amazing. She gave us many tips how to save money and time, how to avoid tourist traps, how to make most of our stay. She was really lovely and helpful. We are very grateful to her. The apartment is simple and comfortable. It is not in the old town, but that's OK. We simply used public transport to get where we needed. The cost of public transport is included in the Dubrovnik pass, we advise you to obtain it. It gives you reliable way of getting where you want. In the vicinity of the apartment are plenty of restaurants, bistros and shops, where you can buy food. We strongly recommend to listen to hosts advices. She is local, she knows and loves her town and wants her guests to enjoy their stay.

Everything is well thought out, quiet, comfortable, and feels like home.

The apartment is spacious. The view from the window is truly beautiful. The kitchen is well-equipped. We were especially grateful for the welcome food the host had kindly left for us — we arrived at 1 a.m. and had no chance to buy groceries. It was such a thoughtful gesture — thank you so much! 😊 There were also all the little essentials: salt, sugar, oil, spices, tea — small things that make a big difference in comfort. The host is a very kind and attentive person. She personally met us at the door at 1 a.m. and helped us settle in. Check-in is possible at any time of day or night. Sometimes I would just casually mention something in conversation — and she would respond right away, with genuine care. For example, I asked about lemons — and soon received a couple of fresh ones straight from the tree. I asked about an unfamiliar fruit growing nearby — and the next morning, there it was in a bag, waiting for me. Thank you again! 😊 The location is convenient: near the port (we recommend visiting the islands), and the main bus station — great for short trips to small towns near Dubrovnik. The airport shuttle also runs from there. Within walking distance: a market, bakeries, shops, restaurants, two large supermarkets. Near the stairs you’ll also find a playground, a sports area, and picnic benches — great for families. The room is very kid-friendly — we found colored pencils, board games, even playing cards. The TV had an English-language channel and a Croatian kids’ channel too. The balcony (or rather a terrace) is spacious and has pleasant evening lighting. It’s only 5–7 minutes by bus to the Old Town, and the buses run frequently. The night before we left, the host kindly asked about our flight time and offered to let us stay until we needed to leave — very thoughtful. This place is a great choice for a relaxing stay. Everything is well thought out, quiet, comfortable, and feels like home. We would be happy to come back again. We remember Jele with warmth.

A wonderful calme and safe place

The place was very welcoming and the host made sure we got everything for a perfect stay which was nice !! The location is good, near the port, you can walk to the old town for about 20min what is doable. We really appreciated the kindness of the host towards us, thank you !

We love the location of the property as it is accesible to everything,transportation and shops to buy basic needs especially with children.I like the most the hospitality and kindness of the host -Jele.She is so kind and caring to her guest.I can see my mum at her.I spent my birthday in her place so when I came back in our flat ,there was a paper bag and gift for me hanging outside the door.She gave Easter eggs to my children before we left.She facilitated also to buy local product from her friend to be brought home.Her hospitality is above and beyond to her guests.Offered umbrellas too as weather was not good. We have a great memories in this place and she was the best host we ever met with all our travels.God bless you Jele.Happy Easter.🙏🙏🙏💐

A bit of upgrade on some stuff like towels as they appeared old and maybe white towels look better for guests.Nonetheless the host was so good to provide us with fresh towels from time to time.

Jele, You are a great Host!

The care by Mrs Jele was exceptional--one can see she enjoys being a good host. She and her husband even volunteered to pick-us up at the bus station.

Our concern, not with the property, but with the city in general, is that there are way too many stairs, which is an issue for persons with limited mobilty.

Great spot for price

Great location in walking distance to old town and to bus station. Still has a local vibe. Jele was very friendly and kind. She was very responsive to our messages and arranged a pickup from the airport for us. Would be our main place to stay if we return!

Very nice place, 100% recommend!

Jele (Nikolina‘s mom) is an extremely sweet lady who welcomed us warmly. Our room was very clean, well kept and we found everything we needed. A simple bus ride will take you to Old town fast and to many beautiful beaches around Dubrovnik, we had the best time and would definitely come back!

Great host, Jele was always there for any question and even gave us great tips on what to do in Dubrovnik. First class host, the rooms and bathroom were clean, the location great and wifi always worked. We had a shared bathroom, but we knew this beforehand and it was always kept clean, so no issue at all. Very good value for money.

Feel like being cared for just like at home.

The hostess - Jele (I'm not sure the spelling) was very friendly and attentive. She send a message the day before arrival to confirm the time we would arrive. When we arrival at the room, she had prepared welcome candies for us, a big bottle of water in the fridge, and provided a detailed introduction of all the information about the entire city, which was extremely helpful. She even helped us make calls to confirm information we wanted to know. The location is very convenient, the bus station, ferry, supermarkets, restaurants, fast-food are all within walking distance. There are many bus routes to the old city, making it the best choice in Dubrovnik. Upon departure, Jele gave my daughter a small gift, and when she said "I hope she will remember me," it reminded me of my mother who had passed away, and at that moment, I couldn't help but get teary-eyed... In the end, Jele helped us call a taxi, which was very reasonably priced. I hope to visit again and see her again.

Home away from home

The host was brilliant-kind, positive, helpful. Location perfect, room comfortable and clean. Good value for money. I had even beach towels in room which was great bonus. And shared bathroom didn't make any problems Thank you so much my host Jele, wonderful lady💓

Beautiful location, quaint and cosy room, and wonderful friendly staff

Great location. Great staff and support from Jele. Lovely area. Jele is a sweet lady who runs the flat on behalf of her daughter who owns it. She brought us some cake and water. Showed us where we were on the map and told us what buses to catch. She recommended the restaurant down the street, which was also great. There was a mini fridge, a bit window you could open for air. We were given keys for all doors and were told we could go down and knock on her flat if we had any problems, day or night. Which is great to know. We had been provided with a set of plates, cups and cutlery should we wish to eat in our room. There was a tv, although we did not use it. We were given fresh towels, there were plenty of blankets.

The noisy people in the next room who were also staying. But Jele came up to speak with them the second night and told them to be quiet, Jele apologised to us. We thought were had our own bathroom, but we were sharing. That is something wet may have missed, not something we were not told. The bathroom was full of supplies and was very clean (after Jele had cleaned) but depending on who stays with you depends on how they leave it for you. We had guests at the same time who perhaps were not as considerate, so we were not always pleased with the toilet. The neighbours dog barked a bit in the morning and where were some building works in the distance, but you would hear those things irrelevant of where you stay.

As much as I loved the stay, the facilities are admittedly quite basic. There's limited hot water between the guests, the walls are rather thin (which wasn't an issue for us but could be if you have inconsiderate people in other rooms). Overall it's cheap and cheerful but this can be charming if it's what you expect

One of the best places we have ever stayed and such amazing value for money! The hosts are so lovely and always on hand to help, the room was lovely and the location is perfect- you can get everywhere so easily on the buses. Jele also gave us so many tips and recommendations. Everything was so clean too! Can't wait to come and stay again next year!

Jela- host looks after all guests like a mother.She is very friendly,kind and gives you tips on local travel and taxi. Very safe and caring,always helpful giving plenty of toys and sweets for children.Highly recommended.

Broken washing machine door. It works but need to be closed in a certain way. No road to the property,has lot of steps to climb with the luggage but host very helpful.

The most important thing was that there was efficient air conditioning during the heat reaching 37 degrees, comfortable beds - exactly what we needed. Nikolina and her mother deserve for a gold medal. We felt like in a 5-star hotel. They speak English perfectly, which definitely helps in communication. The location is very good - there are many wine bars around the port... their prices are moderate compared to the prices in the old town. 15 minutes walk to nearest beach. We had a successful stay - we recommend it!
