Best stay yet in Cavtat

We loved our stay in this apartment. It was very clean, it had comfy bed, beautiful balcony to sit on. Mato, was on hand when we arrived 9pm at night and available throughout our stay. He brought us and other couples clean towels every two days. It is a short hill walk up from the main town, but we didn't find this to be a problem. This should be considered for those with mobility issues. I highly recommend this stay in the wonderful Cavtat.

Spotless, comfortable apartment with a gorgeous view.

Spotless, comfortable apartment on the top floor of a peaceful building. The view was amazing. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and live in the building. The shops, restaurants and seaside are just a few minutes walk but the walk is steep if mobility is an issue for you. We appreciated the washing machine for guests.

This was the only accommodation on our trip without a coffee pot or toaster.

Amazing stay in Cavtat

The apartment was spacious, clean and well equipped. The location could not have been any better as it was just a short walk down the hill to the centre of Cavtat where all the bars, shops and restaurants were. The view from the balcony was beautiful and we loved sitting out there looking over the sea and watching all the boats coming and going. The owner of the property was very welcoming and helpful and we had such a lovely stay. We would definitely stay in this apartment again if we returned to Cavtat.

Great 1st time visit to Cavtat, and very happy with apartment

The owner, Mato, met us when the taxi (which he had booked for us) dropped us off. Mato (who lives on grd fl) then took us to the apartment, showed us where everything was, how things worked, etc. We were in Apt 1 on the first floor (4 apts in total). Spacious living/kitchen/dining area with air con unit and sliding doors to small balcony, room for a small table and 2 chairs, sun in afternoon and fantastic view. Kitchenette had fridge/small freezer compartment, 2 cooking rings, microwave, kettle and sink. Enough crockery, pans etc for 2 people. Bedroom has wardrobe with shelves and hanging rail, drawers and balcony (sun in morning). Bathroom with shower. All very clean. New towels/bath mat provided every 2 days. asked for extra pillow which was provided quickly. The apartment is about 120m up quite a steep hill from the main area of Cavtat, then 2 flights of steps to flat door, so not suitable for anyone with mobility issues - we got used to it! Peco bakery at the bottom of the hill on the left was handy for breakfast/pastries and takeaway stuff. Ice cream shop opposite was great, loved the mango ice cream! Another takeaway bakery on the right, plus the two Studenac supermarkets. All the restaurants and bars very nearby. We ate at Toranj, Ivan’s and Club 21 a couple of times each. No particularly cheap eating options. Bakeries were handy for cheaper lunches… takeaway and find a bench. Did a trip to Dubrovnik by water taxi. Again restaurants quite expensive and not many places to sit in the streets. Also did the Sunday trip to Cilippi for folk dancing, and the free Fri morning local tour, both good. You can walk around both promontories, the right hand one is easier and more accessible. Lots of swimming spots. Walk up to mausoleum for good views. Great to watch the super yachts coming in! Would recommend taking a foam sit mat for the benches, water taxi and Dubrovnik.

Air con in bedroom would be a bonus, esp during the hot summer months. We were there last week in Aug and bedroom was quite warm even with air con on and doors open. Maybe a fan could be provided? Some people may not like being directly under the flight path for planes landing at the airport nearby but it really isn’t a problem and isn’t constant, and actually quite fun to watch them fly over.

Fantastic stay close to town with amazing views!

The view was exceptional!!! Absolutely stunning. It’s wonderful to sit on the balcony which was spacious, and we loved watching the planes fly over as it was very close to the airport. The property is located close to the main town including the restaurants, convenience store, and the bus station. It was very clean, and had all the amenities we needed. The host was very responsive and friendly who spoke good English. We liked having access to a washing machine and iron/ironing board.

There is an adjoining balcony with the property next door, and would have been nice to have had a bit more of a separator between the two for some privacy. Also, there is a bit of a steep uphill walk from the town. Otherwise, we loved everything about this place!

Spectacular sunsets

The staff were really friendly and helpful. Fresh towels were delivered every two days and the apartment was cleaned after a week and the bedding was changed. The apartment was in a great location, only 5 minutes walk from the town and the view from the balcony was fantastic.

The only downside side would be if you had mobility issues as there was quite a steep climb up to it and about 50 steps as we were on the top floor.

Lovely Cavtat visit

Central location and apartment is well equipped with lovely views.There are 4 apartments in the block No1,3 and 4 had larger balconies than ours,not a problem but others are bigger so ask for them on booking.Owner very helpful and lives in lower apartment if needed.

The bank from the centre too the apartment may be an issue if you have mobility issues but we managed ok

Goof place to stay when you are aware of its limitations.

Liked the cleanness, the view and the proximity to the old town and center (200 m.) and the good WIFI.

Took over an hour to get hold of the host. Property not reachable by car,. Parking only by courtesy of neighbor and 100 m. steep uphill. Some tens of low flying airplanes from 6.00 in the morning and in the evening in approach of Dubrovnik Airport. Property in steep part of town, not easily approachable by older people. The bed was hard and creaked when you moved.

Exceptional

We had 12 glorious days at this fantastic location. The best views across wonderful Cavtat, looking out towards Dubrovnik. We enjoyed many hours on the spectacular terrace. The apartment is spacious, comfortable and well equipped. It is a very short walk from the bustling quayside with its many fine restaurants and bars. Cavtat is on the flight path to Dubrovnik airport 5km away but we didn't find that particularly intrusive. We are already planning our return.

Good but overpriced for what it has to offer

The view form this apartment is everything! We saw one of the most amaizing sunsets from the balcony. The apartment was clean, but basic.

This apartament doesn’t have a parking spot, you have to park in the public parking and then go up with your luggage, you can’t even stay awhile infront of the apartment to let your luggages there. The price does not match the conditions. I considered it a little overpriced. The apartment needs an update asap. The kitchen is small and very basic. Also, you should know that to get to the apartment you have to walk on a steep street.

Breathtaking Sunset view

Absolutely loved the location, the view from the balcony was spectacular.. It was spotlessly clean, clean towels every 2 days, and the owner was extremely friendly and helpful.

There is no air conditioning unit in the bedroom, just one in the lounge. To get the bedroom cool enough to sleep, we had to leave the bedroom door open all night, and the bedroom was still a little too warm. There would also be a problem regarding privacy if there was a 3rd person staying, using the sofa bed in the lounge. A ceiling fan or even a portable fan in the bedroom would be a help.

Tredje gang i Cavtat - ny leilighet

Ligger i gamlebyen. De tilbyr transport til og fra flyplassen og helt til døren (Vanlig taxi må stoppe ved bommen inn til gamlebyen). Det var rent og de håndterer renhold og hyppige håndkleskift meget profesjonelt. Trivelig huseier. Kjempefin utsikt. Høy standard og ikke antydning til mugg.
