Great place for stay in authentic German home-like style.

It is very comfortably placed near the metro and busses stations. Small and authentic. Very friendly and helpful stuff.

May be a bit cleaner. But nothing dramatic. And luck of hot dishes for breakfast.

The staff, in special a young man that did our check-in and a young lady at breakfast was very good! Breakfast was good and we loved the breakfast area, very cute. the room is also big and cozy.

Very enjoyable

Very efficient, keys in the place as outlined and key code worked well. Breakfast more than ample and continued to be stocked. Good parking at the back.

Only think missing was tea and coffee facilities in the room. When we arrived around 10.30pm it would have been noce to have a cup of tea or coffee before bed.

A nice hotel

My room was spacious and clean. The hotel isn't in the city center, but it was close to my workplace. Therefore I was really happy about the location.

The person at the reception wasn't that friendly and the door to my room seemed quite unstable.

Staff was asking when they could enter to clean every day. This made me feel nervous because I always expected them to enter when I could not hear them knocking, eg when I was showering. There was no „Do not disturb „ sign.

Location conveniently across the street from Ottmarschen S-Bahn Station. Plenty of restaurants within 5 mins waök. I recommend Block House Steakhouse right next to S- Bahn station. Hotel has plenty of parking spaces. Bed was very comfortable , shower was great ( excellent waterr pressire). Breakfast was simple but fresh and plentyful. For the room price incl. breakfast i was quite satisfied and sctually quite good value for money. Would stay there again for sure.

Stayed in main building and although everything was clean, the interior decor (incl. The room i stayed in - nr. 45) would benefit from a little TLC. But for 89€/ night incl. Breakfast...! The quality of the towels left a lot to be desired...small thin, cheap quality.. but hey.... € 89/ night incl. Breakfast. Room hD no AC. It was a hot summer night but if you keep the window open...prepare to find out what time the S-Bahn trains start running in the miorning.. SPOILER ALERT...they start VERY early !.

the room flooded at night and the problem was not fixed by the hotel... on top of it, as per booking.com "NO COMPENSATION could be provided" after I moved out... the hotel refuses to reimburse for the stay and booking.com does not assist in settling this matter - a bad combination... maybe avoid booking.com as well...? - flood everywhere, bath room and hallway - cleaned for more than 30 min - no more towels to dry off - hotel left fresh clean linens for beds (pillowcase etc) on dirty carpet in hallway where people walk with their dirty shoes- So unhygienic - shower showed sign of black mold - this was not a new problem

I had experienced two staff members. One of them was incredibly unpleasant and even hostile. The other one was brilliant. Location was fantastic for my purpose (job interview)

Very loud. I even called before to ask if it's loud there, given it's proximity to the Tram station and was replayed with "rather not". Nevertheless I could here the public transportation from 5 in the morning and could not really sleep

Good price, horrible carpeting

This is my 2nd time here. The price is quite good for the area, but the hotel is a bit old. The room I had this time (building next to pub) was far nicer that the one I had before (building on the right). The sound insulation is impressive, I could not hear the train nor the busy road which passed right next to my window. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was modern, the breakfast was good.

The carpeting is (as last time) unpleasant. Not very clean and smells like smoke. I had to air out the room every day. The internet sometimes does not work at all, and most of the time is not suitable for remote work. The fan in the bathroom was a bit noisy and went on for a long time. No elevator.

Sehr kleines Zimmer, Haare im Bett, 2 Lampen haben nicht funktioniert, Fenster gut aber nicht gut genug für die Fußballkneipe vor der Tür, Frühstück hatte Jugendherbergenqualität, selbst der Filterkaffee hat nicht geschmeckt.

Eines, der wohl schlechtesten Hotels in Hamburg ...

Wer auf 60er Jahre Mottenkugelcharme steht ....

Obschon ich unlängst einen Schlaganfall erlitt und derzeit nur schwer zu Fuß bin, bekam ich das wohl höchste Zimmer im Haus - zwei steile Treppenaufgänge! Die Wandschräge im Bad, lässt das Duschen in der Badewanne wohl nur für Menschen unter 1, 50 Größe zu. Im Bett versank man geradezu. Da das Internet unter dem Dach wohl zu weit vom Router entfernt ist, funktionierte dieser "Service" so gut wie gar nicht. Permanente Tropfgeräusche vom Dach. Das Frühstück ist mau, - billigster Wurstaufschnitt. Nur eine einzige weitere Person beim Frühstück. Meine Bitte um ein anderes Zimmer (s.o.) wurde mit der Bemerkung "nichts sei frei" resp. die anderen Zimmer seien "noch nicht gemacht", abgeschmettert. Kaltschnäuzige Dame am Empfang ... Ach ja, und dann noch die S-Bahn-Gleise zum Greifen nah ...

Solide in guter Lage

Die Lage ist wie bekannt gut. Schnell zur Autobahn, die S-Bahn und sonstiger ÖPNV direkt vor der Tür. Diverse Restaurants, Kneipen sowie Einkaufsmöglichkeiten mit vielfältigem Einzelhandel. Das Bett war überraschend komfortabel. Der Mann an der Rezeption freundlich

Zimmer: - Matratze nicht gut (ich könnte runterfallen), im Haus 62 hat irgendwer im Zimmer und Flur geraucht. Es stank furchtbar. Schade! - Nicht geeignet für die Allergiker wegen Teppichs

Die Lage. Anfahrt über die Autobahn, nur ein paar Kilometer entfernt A 7 . S-Bahn Station nebenan, aber kein Lärm zu hören. Verbindung zur Stadtmitte unschlagbar.

Ausstattung im Hotel, keine Steckdosen am Bett, Lampen teilweise ohne Leuchtmittel, Bad zu eng, Toilette = Kinderklo zu niedrig, Türen ohne Kraftaufwand und Krach nicht zu schließen. Vorsicht bei der Außentür des Zimmers Verletzungsgefahr (einklemmen der Finger). Preis für 3 Nächte zu hoch,

Nie wieder, hatte mich geekelt!

Frühstück und Frühstücksbereich

Ich habe es noch nie gehabt, dass ich mich vor einem Zimmer geekelt habe, aber vor Zimmer Nummer 54 in diesem Hotel unter dem Dach. Leider war ich zu spät dran, um noch abzureisen. Spontan musste ich Harry Potter beneiden, wie er im Kinofilm unter der Treppe wohnte. Total runtergerockt, speckig, schmutzige Wände, Teppich, den ich kaum mit Schuhen berühren mochte, usw usw. Zwar hatten meine Mitreisenden etwas mehr Glück mit ihrem Zimmer aber dieses Zimmer 54, welches nur aus einer Abseite unterm Dach besteht, ist eine Zumutung!

Insgesamt war die Unterkunft zufriedenstellend und wir kommen gerne wieder.

Das Personal ist ausgesprochen sehr höflich und freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr reichhaltig und die Zimmer waren sauber und ausreichend groß. Das Hotel hat eine sehr gute S-Bahn Anbindung.

In einem der Zimmer war die Heizung zu warm eingestellt und diese konnte man nicht mehr regulierend, da das Heizungsventil abgebrochen war. Aufgrund der saunaähnlichen Zustände konnte man nachts nicht mehr schlafen. Uns wurde dann am nächsten Tag ein anderes Zimmer zugewiesen.

Zweckmäßiges Hotel in verkehrsgünstiger Lage und mangelnder Kundenorientierung!

Gute Lage und fußläufig zur S-Bahnstation. Gute ÖPNV Verkehrsanbindung zum Stadion und Fischmarkt.

Um 5 Minuten vor 10 wurden wir darauf hingewiesen, dass das Frühstück um 10 Uhr endet - etwas spät! Wir haben in der Unterkunft ein Handy Ladekabel samt Ladegerät leider in der Steckdose vergessen und um Zusendung gebeten (mit dem Angebot, die Kosten zu erstatten). Das kam als Originalantwort: "Guten Morgen, In Grunde genommen wir versenden keine vergessene Ware. Die Gäste sollen seber abholen. Es Tut mir leid. Hotel nSchmidt" Wir wohnen 280 km von Hamburg entfernt - Kundenservice Fehlanzeige!
