The rather dull atmosphere at the restaurant

Fantastic location. Couple minutes walk to the funicular cable car up to Thermes de Spa. Right in the middle of town, with good restaurants nearby. Less than 10 minutes walk to train station. Room was big, breakfast very pleasant.

I should have checked but air conditioning has become so standard it did not occur to me that there was none. With a heat of over 30 degrees it was not good. Friends of mine stayed there last year and didn’t come back because of the lack of A/C While at night it was cooling sleeping with open windows meant not sleeping well due to the noise. The windows overlook a main square with terraces open late with loud people. One night there were a bunch of people making a racket in the square until at least 3 am. Housekeeping is sloppy. In addition, the staff leaves all rooms open on two floors with no one around, anyone could just walking. Not to mention that the staff leaves dirty linen in the middle of the staircase blocking the way, which caused me to trip and hurt my elbow trying to avoid it. The excuse I was given was that reception had told them there were no guests in the building. The safe heats up inside, anything you leave there stays super hot. Pillows aren’t very good. Staff is unfriendly and un accommodating.
