A Decent Hotel for a Decent Price

Pros: - Although not 60 m², the room was still spacious and comfortable. - Small kitchen in the room, which was very convenient. - Both a shower and a bathtub — a great bonus. - Coffee machine in the room. - Large and comfortable bed. - Movable TV, which was a nice touch. - Good location. - Free parking.

Cons: - The breakfast selection and overall quality were very limited and below expectations. - Following this booking (via Booking.com), my personal data appears to have been leaked. I was contacted twice by scammers who had access to my name, booking details, email address, home address, and phone number. This is extremely concerning. - The parking area is very narrow and becomes quite challenging in the afternoon when it is full. - I was explicitly promised that the invoice could be split (which was a deal breaker for me). However, after check-out I was informed that this was not possible. - The cleaning staff member who approached us at 10:00 regarding check-out was not able to communicate in English or Dutch and did not do so in a particularly friendly manner (check-out is at 11:00!). - Due to a nearby “race planet”, there were multiple street racers driving around in the evenings and at night with very loud exhausts. - The room was advertised as 60 m², but it was definitely closer to 40 m². - City tax was charged separately. On Booking.com, the price was stated as including all taxes and fees, yet the city tax was excluded, resulting in an additional €46 charge.

Unfortunately, this stay was a very disappointing experience. From the beginning, the level of service was far below what should be expected from a hotel. The staff were consistently rude, unwelcoming, and unwilling to help. We specifically requested a room with a bathtub, but this request was refused without any clear or reasonable explanation. The manner in which this was handled felt dismissive and unprofessional. The situation became even worse the following morning. At 9:00 a.m., staff knocked on our door and then entered the room without permission. This was a serious invasion of privacy. What made it even more unacceptable was the fact that check-out was not until 11:00 a.m., meaning there was absolutely no justification for this behaviour. Overall, the staff showed a complete lack of respect for guests and basic hospitality standards. Due to this experience, I will not be returning to this hotel and cannot recommend it to others.

Nice hotel for a short stay around Delft or The Hague

Nice hotel, close to highway A13. We walked to city center of Delft. Very nice breakfast, a bit crowded on the Sunday morning. Good beds and very friendly staff.

One of the best hotels in delft

Love the Chinese influences that creates a feel of style, art and comfort; from gold and red walls to luxurious carpet and blue Chinese vases in the lounge. The room is very spacious and relaxed. Staff are helpful.

Comfortable

Room was big, lovely and clean. There is onsite parking, including electric chargers. You can rent an (e)bike. Although on an industrial estate, you are only a short distance away from some nice nature.

No nice restaurant options in the area. Breakfast was so so. I love that you can make your own waffles, but the eggs were very overcooked and not nice. Not that close to town centre. Parking in Delft is very expensive, so if you wish to visit town centre from this hotel, renting a bicycle is a good option.

Room was not clean, dirt under the bed and bathroom needs a good cleaning, stains on the sink tops and bath sides, .. breakfast was poor quality, restaurant still closed so expect to eat out for evening meals .

Good hotel for visiting the area around Delft.

Free parking, handy for the motorway. It was convenient for Delft. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The room was quite spacious, and the shower was fine.

The only drawback was the external noise at night, which could have been from the Macdonalds just down the road from the hotel.

Practical hotel if you have a business trip to Delft.

Very Clean, quiet hotel close to Delft center. Large rooms, nice bathroom .

No taking fee but a little too far to walk to Delft especially if you have limited time), or you need a car. City tax like in most Dutch Hotels (why on earth are you taking it?). Price/performance is not so good slow reception.

Electrical plugs exposed on walls with no plastic covers. Bedside lights hanging off the wall. Dust everywhere, not clean. Bed far too small for an average guy or tall girl.

Pleasant hotel.close to highway and Old Delft

The hotel is located close to the highway and at the same time at 25 min walk from Old Delft and 35 min walk from Delft Central Station. Room 511 was spacious, comfortable (a/c, fan, fridge, safe, water kettle) and the bathoom was large (bathtub with showde) The mattrasses were great! Sound isolation was perfect. Nice breakfast: lot of choice. Friendly staff Free parking

Comfortable room. Room service every day to make the bed and switch towels - though no vacuuming during my stay. Staff was friendly and helped with requests.

The location isn't great for getting to either Delft or Den Haag by public transport/walking. To be fair that is quite obvious to see beforehand.

OK for the money

Room's of decent size; the shower is quite big as well. The hotel is quite quiet, has ample parking, and friendly staff on reception & in room service. Room was cleaned OK, basic facilities were provided.

Safe box didn't work, and the staff didn't fix or replace it despite the issue being addressed a few times. The room furniture showed age and wear and tear. TV remote was not in the room upon arrival and had to be retrieved separately. Room service doesn't do (or do poorly) vacuuming/mopping, and the floor remains dusty. Bathtub is abysmal (although new and clean).

All the staff were friendly and welcoming. The staff member at reception that stood out the most was Omar, he was very professional and always helpful.

I informed the hotel before arrival that my mother was disabled. But when I got to the hotel there was no shower facilities for disabled guests. The room was clean, however under the bed was full of dust.

In summary a reasonable hotel, but let down by not getting the basics right.

Bedrooms and bathrooms were a good size with a comfortable bed. Breakfast had a large impressive selection and catered for all our needs. The rooms were equipped with a small fridge and a kettle, however the sachets of coffee etc., were not always replenished

There was a lack of local information, i.e. bus/train/tram times and an idea of costs, and where to catch them. This would cost a very small amount of money to fix, i.e print out local schedules, or displayed on a local screen so it can be easily viewed and updated. Whilst asking at reception we found that the younger generation receptionists did not know, and were unable to find out. (e.g. phone the train station and ask!). The more mature staff were more helpful, but were not always on duty. There appeared to be a lack of general staff, e.g. when returning from the town, wishing to have a drink, there were no staff behind the bar. This was every evening, so not just a one off, so we had drinks at the Campanile (just down the road) instead.

Pay attention to payments

The hotel has a good location and I have no complaints about it. There were discrepancies regarding the billing, hence my assessment.

The hotel charged me more than 50 euros more than in the booking. When I tried to advertise this, it turned out that in the financial documents he uses a different name "China Great Hotel" than in the booking "Shanghai Hotel", and my complaint was not accepted. The hotel did not respond to the comments sent.

Shocking experience

Free breakfast as compensation for room not being prepared. The room was very spacious.

When we arrived, our room was not prepared/cleaned up. Fortunately we were then assigned another room. This room was OK, though fairly dusty. The TV remote didn't work well. Then while we were relaxing in our room suddenly our door was opened by other guests, they were assigned the same room. Of course they were as shocked as we were! We will never again forget to lock the door just in case; but regardless this situation is unacceptable.. Luckily we were still dressed! The next morning we found out our key also didn't work anymore, probably due to the double booking. Everytime we went to reception, they were busy on the phone.

Breakfast was good and hotel staff very friendly. Good parking facility.

Connection between hotel and restaurant is not clear. As hotel client I was twice denied access to the restaurant because of 'festivities'. For access to the room safe you have to lie on the ground, there is no light and it is very small (in any case there was no instruction how to open it).
