Lost in Translation The Studio Direction Nightmare

The location was excellent The beds were comfortable The big tub was really nice. The studio was nice and spacious

Have someone guide guests to the studios that are not on the hotel location property. It was literally right out the front door, right and over the canal then right again and then on your left with a crown on the door. We got a giant map of Delft the directions were penned in. Have a coloring book size drawing with only necessary info as a map. The other guest next to us said the directions she received were poor as well and ended up using google maps to find the place. They are a block away. Should not be as complicated as it was made. There was a coffee maker, but no coffee, nor any instructions as to how to use it. There were dishes in the cupboard. None matched all different sizes. Definitely an after thought. A dish towel or paper towels would have been nice since guests are asked to clean up after themselves in the kitchen.

Great hotel in beautiful town.

The hotel is very central so you can easily walk to everywhere in Delft, the train station is close by where you can travel to Rotterdam, Den Haag, Amsterdam, etc. The location is close to many cosy bars, cafes and restaurants, but it’s very quiet in the hotel, so you get the best of all worlds! There were lovely views out of our window so we could look out on everyone cycling past. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is plentiful and fresh.

Nothing. But it might be worth noting that there are a lot of steep stairs which might be a problem for elderly people.

Nice location and staff but please clean up the rooms and make sure basic maintenance is carried out

Staff was friendly and helpful.

Several issues, blood stains on towels, shower was too hot or even hotter (scalding could not adjust to lower temp), unsure if bed linen was clean, spider webs in the corners, somebody's else's hear on the floor and walls - cleaning was pretty bad, hallway sensor light did not work so had to carefully touch my way through a dark hallway, upstairs neigbour walking was creating noise issues.

The kitchen was dirty and grimy the seating area and dining area was dusty not been cleaned.We hired the cycles a member of staff took us to them the bicycles were dirty rubbish in the crates she unlocked one for us it was broken the tyres were flat so we asked for a pump she could not find one and advised us to go to the train station and use the bike facilities there Paying 15 euros for rental we expected the bicycles to be well maintained for safety reasons as well. Felt like the place was under staffed staff when you went to desk same person seemed to be doing all the jobs

Brilliant location. Right in the city and just across the canal and road from the Central Station. Breakfast was quite good.

Small room but not tiny. Was big enough for us though. The whole hotel was not new but it’s part of the classic city scene in Delft. We enjoyed the stay but if you want a BIG room this one may not be the one for you. However the stairs are quite daunting. If you have to bring a standard 30k suitcase up the 2nd to 4th floor you will have difficulty as there are curves in the stairwell and they are quite narrow. If you have been to any Dutch residence that has 2 floors you will understand what I mean about steep stairwells.

Historic guest house in central Delft

Hotel is in a historic old building in central Delft 5 minutes walk away from the railway station. Because of its age it has steep staircases an no lifts - this wasn't a problem for us. Good buffet breakfast in a room next to the canal, you can watch the world going by outside. We had a suite, large room overlooking the canal, comfortable. Delft is an easily walkable town with plenty of places to eat. Would stay here again.

The room was functional rather than pleasant. Feels like it was last refurbished in the 80s. Breakfast was also very simple. Both the room and breakfast were fine for my needs (I just needed somewhere to sleep), but you might be disappointed if this was a special holiday

Delft Hotel stay

Situated in the old part of Delft, short walking distance from the station. Close to the market square and canal tours. Several eateries and restaurants around. Very friendly and helpfull staff at the hotel. Breakfast with good cold and warm options.

Good location, uncomfortable beds, very tight on breakfast and aircon.

Location was good.

Aircon switch was about 9 feet off the floor so you couldn’t reach it. No remote control provided - only a desk fan. The owner may save money, but shouldn’t be allowed to advertise aircon. Beds are like marshmallows - a poor night’s sleep guaranteed. Breakfast was poor and if you wanted to go to the toilet at breakfast you had to ask the staff to move a table in front of a door marked “laundry”. Once the ridiculous exercise of moving guests aside while you go inside is complete, the facility itself is disgusting.

Great location, very disappointing breakfast.

The apartment was spacious and the location was great.

Sofas in the apartment were too small. My main complaint was the breakfast. Very disappointing for the price. I lifted up the first slice of bread for some toast and the bread underneath had green mould on it (quite a lot). Completely unacceptable. The other bread rolls didn't taste fresh and the fruit salad was from a tin. Not much choice when compared to our previous hotel. No decaf coffee either. Disappointing.

A lovely small hotel in a scenic location.

Exceptional location in the scenic old part of Delft. Very spacious room. Clean and comfortable. Everything in working ordee. Friendly welcome. Pleasantly surprised by the various parking options available as I was worried about this. Breakfast was self-service and continental style but did the trick for us.

The hotel is fantastic. The location is excellent... within 5 mins walking distance to the station and the city center

The behaviour of the staff was polite but not very cooperative. Our room was on the 2nd floor (without an elevator), my mom being senior citizen wanted to use the restroom on the ground floor near the reception after the breakfast. However she was not allowed to. We did not get toiletries everyday (even after they were finished). Also we wanted to keep the luggage at the reception after check out for which we were charged 5 euros.

Not what we expected from a 4 star

Not what we expected from a 4 star establishment. No coffee/tea making facilities - not even a kettle. No mini fridge. Steep stairs. Street facing room with single glazed windows made for a very noisy night. Also a lot of streetlight filtering through the curtains.

One night in Delft

The room was so spacious, location was wonderful for what we wanted to do. We were close to the village square and close to the train station. Breakfast was delicious with a large variety to choose from. The beds were very comfortable, pillows great!

Reception was a little less than friendly when we arrived in the afternoon. However, the receptionist in the morning was very pleasant and helpful to us. The couch in our room was so hard and uncomfortable. The online pictures showed that it would be a much larger couch, so we were surprised. But that didn't matter, as we didn't spend that much time in the room.

Couldn't get hot water to the shower head, only to the hand held shower, seemed a little odd. We were on the 3rd floor and the stairs are extremely narrow and steep.

It was a very good breakfast and suoer bathroom.

We weren't in the room we had booked with no explanation about the change.We had to manage three flights of narrow steep stairs and we are in our seventies.

Great location within walking distance to the train station and the major attractions of Delft. Our Junior Suite room was spacious, quiet and light filled. Good restaurants nearby.

Ask to stay in the main building, the annex is a dump.

Was in an anex building on binnenwatersloot. window did not open. smell was terrible (some sort of asian quisine). drunk people make noise till 2am, even on mondays and tuesday. bed too small, no water cooker, TV did not work, hallway dirty and smelly. definitely not worth the money, will not return.

Well located hotel

The hotel is cute, very well located, breakfast was ok. It’s a typical Dutch house with a very narrow staircase, with rooms in 2nd and 3d floors, which is more difficult when one has (big) luggage.

The receptionist upon our arrival on Sep 8 was simply not nice, looking at her screen all the time, barely answering our questions. Borderline impolite. They charge 5 euros per room to keep the luggage (for 2 hours) in the lobby.

The bed was good. Staff at reception was very helpful and kind.

Overall unclean, no cleaning stuff provided. Toilet smelled of urine, floors dirty, terrace full of pigeon feathers and poo. Couch also unclean. When I complained about the floor and toilet they were cleaned extra. But cleaning was done swift and lacking thoroughness.
