The rest of the staff, especially a young woman was quite terse and unfriendly. I will not stay here again because of her surly attitude.

Good location, helpful staff and comfortable room, but a few aspects need to be improved.

Large, comfortable, quiet room, about 5 minutes’ walk from secure underground parking. Good choice at breakfast.

The toilet in our room (no.29) needed to be thoroughly cleaned with bleach. The water pressure in the shower was quite low. On Saturday morning the breakfast room was very crowded and we had to wait for coffee and food.

The interior of the hotel is old but well maintained. There were no slippers or Nespresso machine in the room, contrary to what was advertised (there are not important factors of course, but then it should not included the ad).

I liked it

Room was very big with beautiful furniture. But be aware that there are no elevators, so plan accordingly.

Bathroom could look more cozy/ modern. The worst thing in this hotel is breakfast - for the money it’s too modest, so eat somewhere else.

A lovely old building in an excellent location for exploring Delft.

The location is excellent.

My only complaint is that I had requested to be on a lower floor room (owing to my own arthritic condition and the fact that my husband is 70), but as we had elected a cheaper (relatively!) double room, I must assume that these are only on the very top floor, as we could not have had more flights of stairs on the stairway to heaven!

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Johannes Vermeer in Delft. The location is absolutely perfect—right in the heart of the old town and within walking distance of all the main attractions, cafes, and shops. The hotel itself has lots of character, with a charming, historic feel and tasteful decor. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. One thing to note is that, for the price, it felt a bit stingy that breakfast wasn’t included. Also, the soundproofing between rooms could definitely be improved—you can hear your neighbours quite clearly. Thankfully, during our stay, the other guests were respectful and quiet at night, but it could be an issue if you’re unlucky enough to be next to less considerate people. Overall though, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily return for the location, atmosphere, and service. A great base for exploring beautiful Delft!

The location was fantastic to explore the city center.

We booked a suit with a double bed which turned out to be 2 singles pushed together. If we’d known this before hand we would have booked a standard twin room, pushed the beds together and saved ourselves €40!

Whilst the hotel offered much charm and convenience, we doubt whether we will book another stay.

The room and the bathroom were comfortable and clean. The area was central making strolling around very pleasant. We felt completely safe at all times.

For the price the breakfast is not what it promised to be. On the first morning there was no more fruit salad by the time we got down at 8:30am. On the second night there was a gathering on the terrace outside our room creating so much noise until late. I must have managed to doze off because I was awakened with a start when our neighbour (No 25) got in at 2:30am crashing his door so loud that our unit rattled. The doors close loudly as it is but this was the limit. The pillows are also extremely thick and hard, giving my wife pains between her shoulder blades the next morning. One of the other occupants told me to hit it until I created a hollow for our heads. I enquired but was told all your pillows are the same and was actually offered an additional one!!! I eventually had to make do on the first night with the scatter cushion.

I would not stay there again.

I had to shorten my stay by 1 night out of 3. The very gracious staff told me that I would be refunded the 3rd night. Later I was told the management refused to refund the unused night. I then asked, repeatedly, that I get a new bill that shows the same amount for just the two nights. The management refused to do that. VERY BAD SERVICE

Nice hotel in centre of town.

Great location in the centre of Delft. Room is large and clean. Comfortable bed.

We paid in advance to make sure our reservation would not go wrong. My husband came one night earlier and initially they placed him in a room which could hardly be called a double room with such a narrow bed. The next day they moved us to a different room but this was just the kind of hassle that we had tried to prevent from happening by paying in advance. In addition, when I called to ask why we did not get a double room the person on the phone couldn't really care less.

We asked for a room with two beds, yes they were separate but pressed together in the layout of the room. This happened in each hotel we stayed at.

The hotel was what we expected - old world decor, the outside grounds with patio were lovely, the location amazing and it gave us a real Dutch experience. The room we had was a bit disappointing in that it did not have any windows and it was not a place we wanted to hang out. felt sufficating.
