Wonderfully whimsical and cozy stay in a quaint and magical town.

I was in the Under the Sea room and it was whimsical and magical. The restaurant downstairs had wonderful ambiance and the breakfast was great. They gave me a free drink ticket when I arrived, which was a nice welcome!! Staff was very helpful and kind.

My blow dryer was broken and there was no one around to fix it on the weekend. But the lovely women of the staff found me a room to dry my hair in !! Thanks ladies!!

Quiet, wonderful and tranquil

The hotel is on the edge of center but perfect for walking and very quiet. There is a wonderful outside area to relax and take in the ambiance which was nice and relaxing.

A charming location with a wonderful breakfast and thoughtful staff

Very nice breakfast and restaurant service, helpful housekeeper provided a portable heater, comfortable bed, clean and orderly, easy walk to shops, churches, museums, charming place

Heat did not work in the room, eyes were red and puffy in the mornings - sensitive to older hotel

Quirky, lovely, family run hotel, a great place to stay.

Great hotel with lovely bedrooms. Really wonderful to stay in the directors room. Round bed was a funny experience. Step to bath and shower is a bit high, it didn't bother us, but good to know. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Good choice of fruit, cereals, bread etc.

Trapped in the microscopic elevator from hell

Is there any way to leave a minus review? Words cannot describe what a place this is and what a terrible manager they have. I hope she reads this and asks what SHE would do if she were trapped in an elevator at a hotel and they said it was "not their problem". We went to see a show in Rotterdam. We arrived at the hotel at 12:30 AM - we informed the hotel we would be late and they left a key. They did not have late check in personnel. Very tired, (two) 2 people went into their microscopic glass elevator. We DID check if it could hold us (attached) - we're about 150 between the two of us - it shows two people and 300 kilos. About halfway to second floor, the elevator locked between floors. We were a bit surprised. We managed to read the instruction for locked floors, followed them carefully, and still it did not work. There was no telephone number in the elevator, and the alarm button was so loud - it didn't ring anyone but makes noise - we thought we would wake the whole hotel. By pure luck, there was another kind quest who came by and saw us trapped. He tried to get us out but it was sealed from the outside as well. He found a number that went to voice mail. He called the police and they sent a fire truck. The elevator became very warm and humid - we managed to take off our coats one by one. Before the fire truck arrived, a hotel staff somehow heard the voicemail and came with a special tool that unlocked the door - we climbed to the next floor level and got out. She said it was an old elevator and it happened frequently, and they tell people one at a time. NOWHERE in the instructions did it say anything about one at a time nor it is it posted in messaging. Worse, why can the elevator only take one at time? The hotel offered us coffee (included in the breakfast) as compensation, and not even an apology.

Delightful hotel with quirky decor & friendly staff. Excellent central but quiet location.

Very friendly staff. Quiet room on the 1st floor with double aspect opening windows. Room well thought-out for convenience and comfort such as a sofa that I could put my bag on. Great room decoration. Lovely dining area. Good breakfast choice. Excellent location near town centre. Very positive atmosphere overall.

Would suggest a kettle for the room to make hot drinks although this was no problem for me. I like smaller pillows, not too high, so had to use a bed cushion and cover it with one of the pillowcases. Hot breakfast (bacon & eggs) was not quite enough for me! Mushrooms, vegetarian sausages, for example, would have been great.

Quirky

Great location on a small square, close to the Old Church and Market Square. Walkable to the train station and the Royal Delft factory. Our room had quirky decor with a view of a church tower. It had a solar shower, good hot rain shower and a separate bath. Two towels per person. Breakfast was good, in a lovely room or outside. There is a tiny lift to the second floor. To access the third floor, there is a further flight of steep steps.

1. Annoying motion controlled lighting in bathroom. Prefer turn light on and turn it off manually rather than constantly changing on and off. Not an electricity saver and very annoying. 2. Lack of AC. Very hot in room.

Excellent location for sightseeing in the heart of the city of Delft 💙

Excellent location in the heart of the city of Delft. Very avant-garde interior design of hotel rooms. Small glass elevator to reach higher floors even though a bit slow it was handy for bringing up the luggage. Delicious food in the GAIA restaurant on the ground floor part of the hotel, staff were really helpful and friendly. Our family room with skylight windows was spacious with a double bed and a niche corner with a bunk bed, also small private shower room/toilet facilities were part of it. Wall mounted TV and desk with sitting area were convenient.

Booked family room with two double beds initially but was given one with a double and bunk beds. Still it wasn't a big inconvenience for us so I didn't request a change.

Cute stay in Delft downtown

The place is well located in the center of the town, with a great breakfast selection, few options but enough and delicious, coffee was also good. Room was very pretty and comfortable. Staff is really nice, has a very small elevator for luggage or if you come with older people, convenient. Place looks clean.

The room was so hot, room ventilation was just a very small window. I put the ceiling fan to high, but was not strong and not enough. Also at night it was a bit noisy, because it was Saturday I think, for me it was totally bearable, but depends on how much you tolerate. Honestly I liked the place, just a bit overpriced. bit more lighting in the bathroom would help.

The hotel has space for cycles at the side of hotel, if you're touring lock your bike as other guests leave the gate unlocked. Building is situated within 2 mins walk of centre with good bars opposite. Staff were very helpful. Rooms are quirky decor but have all facilities required.

The breakfast was fairly limited in choices and the scrambled eggs were just served in a bowl which was strange. The quality was good though. Crockery was limited on the table but the staff were on hand.

An excellent hotel which we had returned to for a lovely second stay.

The unique décor, the green ethos of the hotel, very comfortable beds, the lift to upper floors, pleasant and helpful staff with excellent English, good breakfast, flexibility as we needed a late checkout due to cancellation of flight home.

Our room was not supplied with tea/coffee making facilities, although this was not an important issue for us.

Superbly located hotel with friendly staff but let down by the rooms

Breakfast options were limited but what food there was available was fine. All staff very pleasant and efficient. Location was superb

The room size was just about ok but wardrobe space was small, no coffee or tea making facilities and not even a bottle of water. Most bizarre were the beds which were hospital beds complete with a controller to raise and lower both the head and foot end of the beds

Cosy decorated rooms

Very cosy rooms, each with unique decoration: mine was inspired to the sea (fish, dolphins, corals, wrecks), which I really loved. I appreciated very much the whirlpool inside my room, and also the working area. The only thing I did not like was the mattress. I appreciated the very fast check in and check out. Convenient location. The breakfast is good but I suggest to offer more types of fresh fruit.

Great location in the historic center and historic building . Staff is super nice and helpful. Restaurant and bar downstairs with great drinks and quality food. Very nice breakfast.

Fabulous quirky, boutique hotel in a great location

It’s in a fantastic location, with easy walking access to all tourist locations. The room we had was really quirky, which lived up to our boutique expectations. The room had a huge round bed, with an elevated platform that housed a huge double ended jacuzzi bath overlooking the front of the hotel that has seating to sit and unwind, plus a couple of fab restaurants, we dined in both.

one night it was very windy and the metal sunshade on the outside of the window kept banging and crashing meaning we couldn’t sleep well. the reception was unmanned at night so we couldn’t rectify!

Our stay was lovely always wanted to visit Delft mainly because of the Vermeer house.

Beautiful Hotel and excellently located right in the heart of the city. Rooms were done very fancy in Japanese style.

I should have gone into their website they do not provide parking. Booking.com states they have parking. I had to park in public parking quite far away and had to pay € 30 for it. The rooms had no water and no instant coffee. For elderly guests the third floor is not good as the stairway was difficult to walk with the suitcase.
