Such a wonderful place: will add to the magic of your stay in Delft!

I loved it! The location was perfect, on a very beautiful street, and very central. My room at the top of the building was amazing: it was super spacious, and felt like a real hideaway. I travel frequently to Delft for work and wouldn't want to stay anywhere else now.

Perhaps suggesting in advance that guests might want to make use of the earplugs provided as the church bells across the road were very noisy!

Brilliant

The location is excellent and the rooms are spacious and very clean. The beds are very comfortable. It was not yet that cold so heating with A/C was possible. The radiators were not working yet-not sure if they are central. There is no reception. But very helpful and friendly whatsapp support. There is a full mini bar in the room and coffee and tea as well. There is no housekeeping so no daily cleaning but in case needed a fresh supply of towels and toilet paper is provided. Stayed there for 4 days and throughly enjoyed and slept well. Would go back again. The clean and spacious rooms are a big plus and of course the location! The rooms are very beautifully redone and maintained. Lovely historic yet comfortable hotel.

The staircase, given that it is a 400 years old historic building, is narrow and steep. Hence if you are with large suitcases be sure to have the strength and agility to carry them up. But then again that is part of the experience and I absolutely loved every bit of it.

Open toillet and noisy Street . You need to use ear plugs which are availible in your room. We only miss some storage in bathroom for cosmetics etc

Perfect

It is super clean, simply and beautifully decorated. Very comfy. Has everything one might need. Great price . Great location. Contact was very present via WhatsApp answering questions and checking in regularly. We loved the place and would definitely choose it again .

Perfect!

The locations was perfect for sightseeing. The staff were very nice and friendly. The room (superior king) was clean, stylish and spacious with lovely view of the canal and the church! The church bell could be a little loud so the complimentary ear plugs were very nice touch. The cafe on the ground floor has very relaxed atmosphere and their food was nice too.

Nothing disliked about, but the stairs to the rooms could be tricky - very narrow and steep (it’s understandable as the building is so old) so mind the steps if someone has a big suitcase!

Great Room in the Heart of Delft

Friendly welcome helped me get into the room. The room was very clean, it appeared to have been freshly renovated, which was done very well. The appliances in the room were of high standard. When you entered the room you instantly knew your stay was going to be a good one.

Charming place for young people

Location, overall comfort cleanliness and looks of the rooms

To get to the rooms one had to negotiate a couple of very uncomfortable staircases and as there is no permanent staff, one is not assured of any help with it. If I had been alone I would not have gotten upstairs. Absolutely not recommended for people who are not in top form. This should be mentioned in the description. One expects these hurdles in an Airbnb but not in a hotel.

One of the best hotel I have been in a very long time!

Everything was perfect. The room was beautiful and extremely comfortable, and the cafe downstairs was outstanding. The location could not be any better, and the management was very kind and caring. I cannot wait to come back to Hotel Johannes! Thank you for making my trip so great.

Beautiful room overlooking the canal just over the main market square. Really atmospheric spot next to the Vermeer museum. Love Delft. Owners gave me a massive upgrade as I arrived early and my room was not ready (admittedly it was off peak). Cafe downstairs very warm, cosy, and lovely toasted cheese sandwiches, coffee and breakfast.

Eerder een Airbnb ervaring dan een “luxe” verblijf.

Privacy is prima

Om binnen te komen, ( wij kwamen ‘s avonds na 20:00 aan) was het een soort van “escape room” met niet helemaal up to date instructies om binnen te komen. Verder vroegen wij om een kamer met leuk uitzicht, maar er is maar 1 kamer (denken wij), en dat was niet helemaal duidelijk, echter werd er gezegd dat ze een leuk uitzicht op de kerk hadden….nou prima…misleidend wel. ‘s ochtends geen ontbijt beschikbaar want ze waren dicht. Verder hebben wij twee cola genomen uit de mini bar en dit netjes gemeld. Men zou een betaalverzoek sturen. Na meer dan een maand pas een betaal verzoek gekregen omdat deze “administratief” was blijven hangen. Hier waren wij wel verbaasd over om alsnog een rekening te krijgen. Volgens ons niet klantvriendelijk.

Heerlijk verblijf in super sfeervolle kamer

Prachtige sfeervolle kamer onder het balkendak, Supermooi bed en fijne badkamer.

Er was geen bureau om aan te werken en ook geen goede verlichting om te lezen. Maar dat is er blijkbaar in andere kamers wel.

Je recommande cet hôtel à la fois pour le confort des chambres et l’emplacement. A noter une maison de style locale décorée avec beaucoup de goût où l’on vit en autonomie, pas d’ascenseur et des escaliers typiques du pays.

Authentiek hotel midden in de stad. Overal dichtbij, wat wij als prettig hebben ervaren. Aardige en betrokken eigenaars. Zowel in het persoonlijke contact als via Whatsapp.

Gehorig. De mensen boven ons hoorden wij in de avond een lange tijd heen en weer lopen, wat storend was.

Prachtige, centrale locatie: alles is op loopafstand. De kamer was brandschoon en zeer comfortabel. Extra bijzonder is dat dit het geboortehuis van Johannes Vermeer is — dat geeft het verblijf een unieke betekenis. Zelfs bij slecht weer is het genieten: gewoon uit het raam kijken naar de charmante omgeving is al de moeite waard.

Wat een fantastisch verblijf en lokatie. Midden in de stad, maar ook rustig. Heerlijk ontbijt in hun eigen lunchroom. Super vriendelijk. Echt een aanrader. En wat een mooie stad met heerlijke eethuisjes, prachtige musea etc… en gelukkig niet te druk.

Geweldige aanrader!

Prachtig. Schoon. Ruim. Mega groot maar vooral goed bed. Alles is nieuw en smaakvol ingericht. Heerlijke plek om te verblijven.

Niets viel ons tegen maar voor mensen die minder goed ter been zijn… smalle trappen.
