Our stay was comfortable, cozy, and convenient.

The staff was lovely. The room was very quiet! We went to bed early to catch a 7am train and we weren’t woken by any noises throughout the night. The shared bathroom was clean. They offered complementary tea right next to the room which was lovely.

The sink drain in the bathroom was a bit backed up.

Great location, clean, friendly and helpful staff

Small Room, creaky floors, shower hose was loose, sheets had holes in them, hallway ceiling broke apart and water started seeping through, destroyed the lights and had to move room in the middle of the night, no compensation was given.

Great value and hospitality

We were very well received, the room was very clean, had a small desk and a place to put a bag. The heater was working well, and the curtains didn't let any light get into the room. There is a shared bathroom on the floor, towels, and tea. We had the option of leaving the keys in a box for check-out, as our flight was very early. There's a restaurant on the ground floor with a lot of options from breakfast to dinner, and we could barely hear the guests from our room on the first floor.

The bed made a lot of noise, even with little movement! And it was very hard to find a parking space nearby: there are few spots on the street (some of which you can only leave the car for 1 hour), and we couldn't find any indoor parking close by (it was very cold at 5 am!). But other than this small inconvenience, we'd totally recommend the place and would stay here again on our next trip.

Excellent location with few minutes to train station. I like the Avec, a convenient store, was nearby. We bought dinner for two nights as restaurants were closed so early in Zurich. The facility offers breakfast or dinner, but we did not have a chance to try because we left early and came back very late. Heart-warming surprise - free women sanitary pads in washroom. The bed was clean and comfortable.

The shower door is too small. The half of the shower was open. Water was leaking out.

Must stay if you are in Lucerne, be it long or short stay

Out of the 6 hotels I booked for my trip, this is the only one that I have gave 10.0. Solid big room, cozy, full equipped separated kitchen, including pots kettles pans bowls cups, dish and laundry machine. Dining table and a big sofa included. Seemless automatic checked in.

I don’t know about the pillow, maybe this is Swiss type of pillow?

Nice place in Zurich

We only stayed for one night, but it was really nice. Walking distance to the city and next to public transport as well. The staff was very friendly and helped us with the luggage after the checkout. I would definitely recommend.

Comfortable and enjoyable stay

Loved my stay at Gasthaus zum Guten Glück! Spacious rooms, a great restaurant downstairs, and a really nice vibe. Overall, a great stay in Zurich!

Only thing to note, no elevator, so you’ll get a little workout if your room’s upstairs.

Friendly and spotlessly clean

Super friendly and helpful staff. Very clean. They contacted us as we left a bag behind which was so thoughtful. Unfortunately we don't speak Swiss German but again this was not a problem as they were so proficient in speaking English. Highly recommend this hotel.

Clean, welcoming, well-located

The hotel was cozy, neat, and very clean. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, which made our stay pleasant. The location is excellent, just next to a tram station, so we could reach any part of the city within about 15 minutes.

The only downside was that the room was a bit hot. There’s no air conditioning, and the fan provided didn’t help much. Other than that, everything was great.

Amazing for the price

The staff were super friendly with big smiles when we arrived, it’s a lovely cafe/bar and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. We wouldn’t normally stay anywhere with shared bathrooms but they were spacious, modern and clean. The location and surrounding area are great and easy access to the old town and city.

Good, clean, value for money

Quiet location, a tram ride or 25 mins walk from the station. Very clean, with good (shared with 3 rooms) facilities. Above a cafe, which served an excellent Bircher muesli for breakfast!

Storage very limited. Wifi was poor in our room, but good in the cafe downstairs.

Would return here if I am in Zurich again

I am so glad I chose this guest house! If I return to Zurich I am staying here. Even though the bathroom is shared it is only between 4 rooms on the floor. The room is large and well decorated, there is tea in the corridor, and staff are friendly. Breakfast is not included, but the buying it is worth it, it was the best scrambled eggs I had in years. Connection from train station is easy by tram.

The walls are a bit thin so you can hear your neighbors a bit but it did not bother me.

A very nice place to stay in a spacious comfortable room. Very handy to the train station and only one stop to the main ( HB ) train station. Staff are lovely , especially Rachel, she was super friendly and very helpful with everything Thank you 😊

It’s a 20 min walk from the train station. That’s about the only positive thing.

I was unlucky enough to have a room facing the back door. You’d think this would mean it’s quieter but I woke up various times with people outside talking. The noise isolation in the building isn’t great and i was able to hear the screaming kids walking around. The room was very small and it only had one small table. The bed was very low and squeaky.

Friendly, clean, modern.

The hostel really exceeded our expectations, we were greater with a home made ice tea and checked in in a very relaxed manner. Our room was well lit, well sound insulated and the bathroom and showers were very modern and well cleaned. Everything in Zurich is really close and I would recommend a local restaurant called Tillsamman GmbH for some really top quality food! The staff were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. Would recommend.
