Gasthaus zum Guten Glück

We allowed to leave our back pack after check out. Location near to central and old town. Direct train to airport. Restaurant has a great food and coffee.

The water flow in the shower is very weak and small so it takes a long time to wash off the soap and cannot be used for shampooing. The bed creaked and made noises every time we changed sleeping positions. This made it difficult for us to sleep.

I loved the location, the cute restaurant downstairs, and the spacious, very clean room. We interacted with two staff members during our stay, and they were both absolutely wonderful. Warm thanks to both of you!

The room was extremely hot due to the ongoing heatwave, and there was no aircon. The small fan in the room turned off whenever the lights were switched off, making it impossible to use overnight. Only the room’s 2 USB ports worked with the lights off, and one of them didn’t work at all, which made charging two persons devices difficult. I sent a message about this to the host through Booking.com, but unfortunately never received a reply. We also mentioned the issue at checkout, and the staff member said they would address it.

Good location. They let us do an early check-in (lucky us, the room was ready) and we were able to leave our luggage. Very clean room and great facilities, including a fan which was perrrrrfect for a hot day. Highly recommend!

We visited at the height of a heat wave and the room was very warm (but not the property’s fault, as Zurich doesn’t normally experience 37 deg C!).
