Comfort with easy access around the city.

Great location, close to the train station, easy access to Titlis Talstation - walking or with bus (bus station across the street). The room was comfortable and overall quiet - just when we had a lot of snow we could hear the machines sounds from outside already at 5.15am. The common kitchen has everything that you need and the modern closing system with the cell phone is great.

Shower: water temperature instable and not having a proper closing, just the curtain is not nice. It smell humidity. A shower stall would be pretty much appreciated.

Nice and fun! Very clean and a great hybrid of a good hotel and a very good hostel. Large room with great view. Awesome bar and bar staff

Only small thing is that they shd put more love into selecting what music is played. Starting your day with horrendous elevator style covers is easy to improve upon.

Great Family Experience in a Modern Hostel

Our experience was very good. It was the first time we stayed in a hostel as a family, and we were very pleasantly surprised by the concept. The facilities are fantastic, modern, and very well designed for both adults and children. Everything is highly automated, which makes the stay very comfortable, smooth, and easy from the very beginning. The common areas are well maintained and very functional. During our stay, we only interacted with Facundo, who treated us extremely well and helped us with a couple of questions, which we really appreciated. We also visited during a period with few guests, which made the experience especially calm and quiet.

The only downside was that at times there was a slight smell of cigarette smoke coming from the bar next door, almost inside the hostel. Other than that, the experience was very positive and we would definitely recommend it.

Comfy, affordable, central

Well-organized place with an app for most things (that actually works!), very good location, clean and friendly.

Sound isolation is minimal, like in most old buildings, so be prepared for some noise from rowdy teenagers after hours. The rooms aren't too warm, likely also due to the old construction. Finally, shared kitchens officially operate only from 07:30, which can be on the late side if you are aiming to hit the slopes early.

Good value for money

The hotel is just a minute from the rail station, the view from our room was amazing and top it all off the kitchen facilities were really good.

The kitchen to adjoining the dining area/restaurant which is open to other guests visiting, so it is a tad bit awkward cooking in the kitchen when others are at the restaurant.

Amazing engelberg hostel stay

Location is outstanding . Less than 30m from the main station and center square. Less than 30m from the bus taking to titlis cable car. Amenities are way superior than expected with kitchen having all the facilities from storage to fridge to gas to micro to pots n pans to dishwasher et al. The dining space is great.. lots of games for recreation and a nice functional bar. With amazing outdoor seating.

The location is amazing, and the accommodation is great value for money. The shared kitchen concept fosters a sense of community and is something we really enjoyed.

There was a slight hiccup with the room check-in process. It is app-based access and some tech glitches caused delays. But the staff were really helpful and got it sorted

Great place with some minor issues.

Clean with nice facilities, friendly staff and a great location.

The top bunk is difficult to get in and out of due to the fact that the ladder is off set and there is nothing to grab on to. The rungs on the ladder are also rounded which make it a little sketchy and hard on the feet. It made a big impact in the middle of the night, especially. I suggest adding a handle or two.

Great choice. Clean and inviting kitchen area

Nice location, nice rooms. The common kitchen was surprisingly clean, but the smart setup plays a big role. It was so easy keeping your work station clean that all the guests did it. The fridge and storage system works well. We ended up cooking dinners there rather than eating out most nights because it was nicer. The terrace is nice, but afternoon sun is blocked by the next door building.

Would be nice with a comfy area to hang out. The only options are the kitchens and the terrace. The lounge looking area in the pictures is the affiliated bar.

Located just across the street from Engelberg train and bus station. A short walk to Titlis cablecar. Very comfortable room. Shared kitchen was extremely well equipped. It had everything we could need. Short walk to supermarket.

If you have the car, definitely this place is a gem to stay near Titlis. Specially the kitchen facilities were excellent and we had the opportunity to meet many fantastic people there during our stay. Also from the window we were able to see white covered top of the alps. Alex asst manager was very helpful and provided the sufficient guidance during our stay.

Amazing accomodation in a stunning area

The common facilities are amazing - the kitchen is done so well. You get your own fridge and pantry that you can lock up. There is an industrial dishwasher which makes doing dishes so quick and easy The location is great as you can do some many hikes in the summer from the front door step

Comfortable, scenic, well-equipped, and full of charm – it was the perfect stay.

The hotel looks beautiful – every corner is cozy, and well-decorated. The property is very clean and well maintained. Our room was spacious, spotless, and super comfy. The location is perfect – just a minute from the train station and really close to the Mt. Titlis transport. Plus, we had majestic views of the Alps and mountains right from our window and balcony! The kitchen was fully equipped and so clean, we actually enjoyed cooking in it. The staff were all super kind, friendly, and welcoming – they really made us feel at home. We’d definitely stay here again on our next trip to Engelberg and highly recommend it to family, friends, students - anyone visiting!
