Really friendly host, attentive and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious with many different options, also for vegans and vegetarians. Rooms are nice, bed is big and comfortable.

Room didn't get properly warm, despite the heating being on for the whole time.

The owners received us and our dog friendly , with interest and were very helpfull in finding the locations that we were looking for. The owner new a lot about the surroundings and local activities .We had a very nice meal at night and very varied breakfast in a good and creative atmosphere.

Nice location, plenty of window lighting, good lake view and very clean room along with interesting artifacts all around it 😊👌 Easy parking available quite next to hotel, they have nice restaurant and breakfast included in room price we got was delicious especially the freshly prepared croissants were yummy 😋

surprisingly there wasn't any lift facility in the hotel and we had two heavyweight baggage + baby stroller Although stuff helped in lifting one bag on arrival, it was difficult to move stuff and I got some wrist pain while moving my bags during check out

Toplocatie!

Het ontbijt was prima verzorgt. Er werd regelmatig gevraagd of we nog iets nodig hebben. We kregen van de eigenaar ook goede uitleg over wat er in de omgeving te doen was. Wifi was top en fijn dat je de auto bij het hotel kon parkeren. Vanuit het hotel kan je makkelijk uitstapjes maken in de Eifel

Traumhaftes kleines Hotel am Maar

Wir haben ein verlängertes Wochenende in Schalkenmehren verbracht. Die Lage ist perfekt. Keine 3 Minuten bis zum Maar. Von der Begrüßung bis zur Abreise war alles top. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und herzlich. Das Frühstück ist klasse und wird am Tisch serviert. Es fehlt an nichts. Die Zimmer sind liebevoll eingerichtet. Vielen Dank an Bernhard und Carine. Macht weiter so.

Super schön und ❤️ lich

Die Inhaber waren super freundlich, zuvorkommen. Man kann sich jederzeit an sie wenden/ telefonisch und bekam prompt Antworten. Wir konnten schon vor check in ins Zimmer. Das Zimmer und Badezimmer war sehr schön eingerichtet, dekoriert. Das Frühstück ganz zauberhaft an den Tisch geliefert. Ganz herzlich. Vielen Dank.

Wir sind rund um glücklich und happy nach Hause gefahren mit dem Vorsatz, auf jeden Fall wiederzukommen.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Es herrschte eine wunderbare Atmosphäre. Besonders gut hat uns die Lage gefallen. Wir waren mitten im Zentrum von Schalkmehren und hatten viele schöne Ausflugsmöglichkeiten.

Wir sind glücklich und sehr zufrieden nach Hause gefahren… 😍

Die Wiederholungsurlauber

Das Hotel ist sehr gut gelegen und die Besitzer super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ausflugstipps werden gerne geteilt, wir werden gerne wiederkommen, um alles bisher nicht gesehene sehen zu können. Die Zimmer sind mit allem ausgestattet, das man für einen Aufenthalt benötigt, die Betten sind super bequem und laden zu einem guten Schlaf ein, allerdings sollte man nicht allzu lange schlafen, sonst verpasst man das sehr gute Frühstück. gelungener Kurztrip zum Konzert des Dorfladens in Schalkenmehren

Die Lage war perfekt für unsere Pläne, wie wir von einem Aufenthalt im Schwesterhotel Eifellust zwei Wochen vorher wussten. Das Zimmer war schön, das Restaurant originell und gemütlich eingerichtet. Frühstück gibt es am Tisch, mit weiteren Komponenten nach Wahl (wie Eier, Joghurt, Obst). Flammkuchen, besondere Eissorten und der Cappuccino (mit Mini-Eistüte!) ;-) waren genauso erwähnenswert wie das freundliche Personal. Mit den Besitzern haben wir angeregt über das bisher Erreichte und weitere Pläne geplaudert ... und darüber, dass wir bei Gelegenheit natürlich wiederkommen werden, wenn es auch diesmal länger dauern wird.

Es war kein Zimmer mit Balkon mehr frei, aber dafür kann so kurzfristig keiner etwas ;-)

Stilvoll, herzlich, außergewöhnlich – ein Ort zum Bleibenwollen

Eine traumhaft gelegene Unterkunft, die mit so viel Liebe und Stil eingerichtet ist – man spürt den exzellenten Geschmack der Hausherrin in jedem Detail. Der Hausherr hat uns sogar persönlich abgeholt und wir hatten wunderbare Gespräche mit ihm – so viel Herzlichkeit erlebt man selten. Alles war geschmackvoll, gepflegt und einfach schön. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls ausgezeichnet. Wir wären sehr gerne länger geblieben!

Jederzeit gerne wieder

Die herzliche Begrüßung bei der Ankunft und die sehr freundliche Art vom Chef und den Angestellten ist besonders hervorzuheben. Die Unterkunft ist klein aber fein, es ist alles da was man braucht und will , alle Wünsche werden erfüllt. Das Frühstück ist mit Liebe angerichtet und sehr lecker und abwechslungsreich. Auch ist die Nähe zu den Maaren und Wanderwegen hervorzuheben. Und bei der Rückkehr ins Hotel kann man ein leckeres Eis genießen oder A la Carte essen. Parkplätze gibt es direkt vor der Tür .

Perfecte locatie als uitvalsbasis voor mooie wandelingen, ook vele tips gekregen van de zeer vriendelijke eigenaar.

Een waterkoker op de kamer zou nog wat toe kunnen voegen.
