Great stay in Prum

Very comfortable, good breakfast and very convenient location in the centre of town.

This was a stop over for the F1 GP so didn’t really get to enjoy the hotel. Would happily return.

We arrived late and left early so didn’t meet any staff. Communication was excellent, keys waiting in a key safe when we arrived and check out all sort by emails. Great view across the square from our room and lovely ice cream restaurant downstairs.

There was no fridge in the room. I’m sure the staff would have advised us had we asked. There was a communal beer fridge (honesty system) that we put some drinks in overnight so all good.

Very comfortable.

Modern well equipped rooms. Excellent bathroom. Key cards that don’t require reprogramming every few hours. Nice “honour system” fridge full of beer and bottled water in the hallway. Good breakfast.

No tea / coffee facilities in the room. Could use more power outlets - had to unplug TV to use my laptop.

Nice location but too many small issues became a distraction.

Good location right in the centre. Bars and restaurants close by.

Double Room offered was v dark and unwelcoming (unlike the photos!). We upgraded to an apartment which was ok, but there was old wine left in the fridge, a hole in the bed sheet, 2 lamps had blown bulbs, the ashtray on the balcony was full of drowned cigarette ends, the glasses in the bathroom were dirty. All around the rear of the hotel are various large pots and trays full of cigarette ends floating in rainwater, presumably from staff, but all fully visible when you access the rear of the hotel and it looks disgusting. The included breakfast was OK, but what should have been hot food was barely warm, so when you place it on your cold plate it is cold food. The small cartons of butter were a month out of date. In response to the above, we were not charged for the room ‘upgrade’, but even with this gesture the hotel is overpriced. All of this is a great shame as the place is nice, it just needs someone to take responsibility for ensuring better standards.

The continental quilt on the bed needed to be replaced - the central area lacked stuffing so was lacking warmth.

Central location on the main town square. Very easy to find the hotel, although car park was slightly tucked away around a corner.. Modern room, excellent walk in shower and high hygiene standards. Good selection for continetal breakfast

Our room with a nice view of the Abbey

After a long days drive it was nice to arrive at Hotel Zum Golden Stern which has a central location in Prum. Friendly hotel, recently refurbished, the rooms and bathrooms were spotless clean. We had a good nights sleep and a good breakfast ready for the road again. Perfect hotel which even offers parking.

very good and central location, also the room was exceptionally clean.

the breakfast wasn’t very enjoyable. far too many tables in a small room next to each other and lots of people. also the sauna wasn’t working while we were there.

Unfortunately in my room was smelling really bad from canalization, quite disgusting. Also for a Hotel situated so central I have expected to be more modern and better equipped.

Good

Nice hotel in the hart of the city center, opposite the Prum cathedral, with plenty of parking around. The hotel offers the functionality of offering a room, nothing else, so no lounge area or bar. Rooms are good, breakfast good although (depending upon occupancy) finding a table to eat can sometimes be a challenge.....

It is an old building, so built not too spacious. F.i. the lobby is very small, so when checking in or out, with people carrying (heavy) luggage, could be "crowdy".....

Great hotel with superb location, good rooms and friendly staff

Great central location across the main square of the Abbey. Friendly staff, nice modern rooms and bathrooms. My double bed room had a nice view of the Abbey. On weekends there can be a bit of traffic noise, but the windows are well insulated and I slept great.

Breakfast is fine, complete but nothing special. On Sunday at 9 am the breakfast room was packed with people and many items were not refilled in time as the 2 staff couldn't keep up with the number of guests arriving for breakfast. I scraped the last sides of both yogurt containers, eggs were used up, had to request spoons, the Cappuccino machine was out of milk, and no one came to ask if we wanted coffee or tea. Based on reservation data, the hotel should be better prepared to ensure they have enough capacity to meet the demand. I would suggest staggering the guests at different times on busy weekend mornings.

This hotel will also make your stay in Prüm a real pleasure at night

The hotel has very nice recently refurbished rooms, with a perfect bed, a splendid bathroom and a super clean and shiny breakfast. In addition, coffee and tea were available 24/24 and guests can help themselves with beer and water from a refrigerator in a common room were guests can socialize. The hotel has no restaurant of its own, but only one street-crossing is needed to find a very nice and friendly pricing restaurant 'Zur alten Abtei'. In the weekends, making a reservation is necessary.

I never before have answered 'nothing' at this question, but this time I really cannot imagine something. Maybe one thing: warm and crispy breadrolls, in stead of bread-rolls which are just fresh....

Probably best to try to find another place to stay in the town.

Getting key, etc. when arriving after hours. Breakfast was ok.

The mattresses are a disaster. If you do not have back problems before you arrive, you will have them when you leave. (Better sleep on the floor.) Wifi connection was so weak as to be useless (in our room).
