If I would ever be back in Manderscheid, I would definitely choose this place again.

The hostess was very friendly, the rooms clean and breakfast was excellent. I would recommend this place to anybody! At night, it was quiet and peaceful in the neighborhood

Must stay for Eifelsteig hikers

Very friendly host made us feel very welcome. . Beautiful garden. No traffic noise. Excellent breakfast beyond expectations. We could make a lunch package for the hike free of charge. One of the best places along the Eifelsteig. There are not many restaurants in Manderscheid. It is recommended to reserve a table.

Room design and furniture were lovely. Double windows help against noise from the outside. Comfortable bed.

Dust and old food from other guests under the bed is a no go. Easy to hear other guests talking in the floor. Edit: Got a message from the owner that I denounced the hotel and that the food might have been from me.. It's easy to see from the dust the room wasn't vacuumed properly. Also I never eat in bed. So instead of an apology after feeling uncomfortable by the food of other guests I get blamed for posting an honest review. And she suggested I'm a liar. Not nice. Edit 2: Owner now is threatening to involve a lawyer because I refuse to change my review. Unbelievable.

Danke für gar nichts und sicher nicht mehr wieder.

Als wir um 17:30 die Unterkunft erreichten klebte ein Zettel an der Haustür man möge bitte anrufen wenn man angekommen ist. Per Telefon erfuhren wir, dass der Schlüssel der Unterkunft in einer Kanne versteckt ist und erhielten die Nachricht, dass es Frühstück ab 7:30 Uhr am nächsten Morgen gäbe. Das Zimmer war groß und geräumig, allerdings sehr kalt. Die Bettdecken waren sehr dünn und es gab nur ein sehr dünnes kleines (40x80cm) Kopfkissen was mir zu flach war. Als die Sonne untergegangen war war es sehr dunkel im Zimmer, da von der Deckenlampe mit 5 Strahlern nur noch einer leuchtete. Die restlchen 4 Birnen waren kaputt. Die Handtücher im Bad rochen muffig, als wenn sie zu lange getrocknet hätten. Als wir am nächsten Morgen um 9:30 Uhr zum Frühstück kamen wurden wir angeschnauzt, dass das jetzt ja wohl zu spät wäre. Sie hätte ja gesagt, dass es Frühstück ab 7:30Uhr gäbe. Daraufhin erwiderte ich, dass es hieß "ab" 7:30Uhr und nicht "um" 7:30 Uhr. Zugegebenermaßen hatte ich bei der Buchungsbestätigung überlesen, dass dort Check-out mit unüblichen 9:30 Uhr angegeben war. Die Dame des Hauses meinte, dass Ihre Gäste meistens schon um 5:00 Uhr das Haus verlassen würden und dass 9:30 Uhr Check-out wäre weil sie ja schließlich auch noch was vom Tag haben möchte. Widerwillig wurde uns dann doch noch Frühstück serviert. Um 10:00 Uhr verließen wir das Haus. Dass man dort wo Fuchs und Hase sich gute Nacht sagen 93 Euro für eine Übernachtung bezahlt, einen Schlüssel um 17:30 Uhr versteckt findet und um 9:30 Uhr das Haus verlassen haben muss damit die Besitzerin "auch noch was vom Tag hat" ist mehr als Abzocke. Danke für nichts und gerne nicht mehr wieder.

Brauchbare und günstig gelegene Unterkunft

Günstig gelegen für Besuch in Wallscheid. Bei rechtzeitiger Buchung funktionierender Taxidienst auch in der Nacht.

Das Zimmer war eiskalt trotz funktionierender Heizung bei der Ankunft, in der Nacht bei der Rückkehr in der Nacht und selbst noch am nächsten Morgen -erst da war jemand da und machte ein - gutes - Frühstück.

Die Gastgebrein war super freundlich. Sehr gesprächig, war voll mit Informationen die man brauchte für 2 Tage. Das Frühstück war frisch und mit liebe zubereitet. Das Haus war hell, offen, freundlich, einladend.

Ontbijt zou om 0730 mogelijk zijn, echter hostes liet weten dat eerder komen geen probleem was. Erg flexibel op dat vlak.

Tolle Unterkunft

Tolles B&B in der Nähe des Klettersteigs. Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber und das Bett bequem. Hervorzuheben ist das sehr gute Frühstück und das Angebot, sich ein Brötchen für den Weg mitzunehmen.

Guter Ausgangspunkt für schöne Touren durch die Eifel

Wir hatten einen freundlichen Empfang, konnten unsere Motorräder über nacht in den Carport stellen. Darüber hinaus sind ausreichend PKW Parkplätze direkt am Haus vorhanden. Im Garten stehen Sitzgruppen zur freien Nutzung. Das Frühstück war gut und reichhaltig, alles was man für einen guten Start in den Tag braucht. SB-Gertränkekühlschrank in der Küche ebenfalls vorhanden. Zwei Restaurants sowie ein Weinlokal im Ort sind in ein paar Gehminuten erreichbar. Insgesamt hatten wir im alten Forsthaus einen schönen Aufenthalt in netter und gemütlicher Atmosphäre. Preis Leistung sehr gut.

Sehr empfehlenswerte Pension, ich komme gerne wieder

Eine sehr schöne, gut gelegene Unterkunft! Ein großes Zimmer, sehr bequeme Betten, Wasserkocher und Tee auf dem Zimmer. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und die Besitzerin sehr nett, sie konnte auch gute Tipps zum wandern geben. Außerdem gibt es einen schönen Garten, den die Gäste benutzen dürfen. Dort kann man nach der Wandertour wunderbar entspannen.

Zweckmäßige Unterkunft in liebevoller Hand, sehr sauber

Das Zimmer ist zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Sehr sauber und ruhig. Schlüsselübergabe sehr flexibel. Im Zimmer gibt es einen Rolladen, dunkelt das Zimmer gut ab. Ich habe sehr gut geschlafen, alles sehr ruhig. Ein gepflegter Garten mit Liegen und Tisch mit Stühlen für Gäste zur Benutzung. Parkmöglichkeiten vorhanden. Das Frühstück ist in Ordnung, liebevoll angerichtet. Das Rührei sehr lecker. Internet und viele TV Programme vorhanden.

Die Höhe der Duschwanne/ Einstieg ist sehr hoch und für mich etwas schwierig zu nutzen (persönliche Probleme aufgrund Fussleiden). Ein kleines Regal in der Dusche für Duschgel etc. wäre toll.
