Close to nature

We had a nice view of the lake! The breakfast was quite nice! I liked that there was a variety of options, including bread, eggs, salami, croissants, waffles, musli, yoghurt and others.

I was a bit disappointed that the spa zone was not working. I would have loved to use the spa zone of the hotel. I was not informed in advance that the spa would not be open, so I was a bit surprised on the spot.

Beautiful location and view from the room. Very nice staff. Good food and cake.

We would have liked some freshly cooked items for breakfast, as well as the buffet. The blinds were insubstantial and let in too much light in the morning.

Excellent location near the lake. Room was spacious and the bathroom was well equipped.

Restaurant staff were a little slow sometimes at dinner, but the food was good.

Staff was uncredibly stressed and unfriendly. We know the COVID-19 Situation is tough, but it’s not the peoples’ fault who are spending money on your hotel. Food was disappointing, it was overhyped and overpriced. Room was newly renovated, but totally overpriced as well. Some of the new cupboards were already broken and the ventilator in the bathroom has never been cleaned, disgusting. Lastly, I cannot believe the hotel charged us 2€ to park our bicycles in a garage filled with junk which was clearly not a bicycle lot. It‘s not the 2€, it‘s the principle. There are plenty other hotels in Shalkenmehren, even if you can‘t find them all on booking.com. Suggest to check out all alternatives before staying here. Schneider am Maar is sadly a rip-off.

Ein wunderbares Frühstücksbuffet, eine sehr vielfältige und ausführliche Speisekarte für mittags und abends. Alles hat wunderbar geschmeckt. Ein sehr gepflegtes Haus in optimaler Lage mit direktem Seeblick.

Tolle Auszeit

Wir waren das erste Mal im Hotel Schneider und kommen auf jeden Fall wieder! Schönes Zimmer, ein wirklich tolles Frühstück! Die Sauna mit Aufguss und das köstliche Abendessen waren klasse! Die Lage direkt am Maar auch sehr besonders!

Gelungener Aufenthalt

Wir wurden so freundlich empfangen, bis ins Zimmer begleitet. Zimmer sehr sauber und groß, Badezimmer sehr gross, mit viel Ablage. Toller Ausblick aufs Maar. Das Essen im Restaurant war sehr gut, perfekter und höflicher Service. Frühstück war reichhaltig und Sonderwünsche wie z.b. Spiegelei wird frisch zubereitet und an den Tisch serviert. Man kann ausgemachte Produkte auch käuflich erwerben

Alles bestens, es gab nichts zu bemängeln.

Die Lage des Hotels war sehr schön und in ruhiger Lage. Wir hatten einen Balkon mit Blick auf die Maar. Frühstücksbuffet und Abendessen ließen keine Wünsche übrig. Das Personal könnte freundlicher und zuvorkommender nicht sein. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und man ging auf alle unsere Wünsche ein.

Schöner Aufenthalt mit kleinen Abstrichen beim Restaurant

Sehr schön direkt am See gelegen, unser Apartment hatte einen fantastischen Blick aufs Wasser und war sauber und gepflegt. Das Personal war freundlich und das Frühstück reichhaltig und abwechslungsreich.

Beim Abendessen konnten die Speisen leider nicht ganz mit den hohen Erwartungen mithalten, die die kreative Beschreibung der Karte geweckt hat. Geschmacklich in Ordnung, aber insgesamt eher durchschnittlich.

mooie locatie als je wil wandelen in de omgeving

- wij hadden een mooie grote kamer met zeer groot balkon met zicht op het vulkaanmeer - vriendelijk personeel - s'nachts zeer stil (wij hebben geen storende geluiden gehoord) - lekker avondeten - goed ontbijt - goede matrassen

het hoofdeinde van het bed was onder een raam met gordijn, maar s'morgens kwam het licht onder de gordijn uit recht in ons aangezicht wat niet zo fijn is als het snel licht wordt.

L’hôtel était bien, mais le service du bar et du restaurant était très impoli.

L’hôtel est très bien situé, proche du Schalkenmehren Maar. Les chambres sont propres et spacieuses. Le buffet du petit déjeuner est très varié et de bonne qualité. Le personnel de la réception était plutôt agréable.

Le personnel du bar-restaurant est vraiment déplorable. Le responsable du restaurant nous a froidement renvoyés alors que nous souhaitions simplement prendre l’apéro. Les serveuses, quant à elles, ne font aucun effort pour s’occuper des clients. Elles ne prennent même pas la peine de vous apporter la carte des boissons ou de prendre votre commande.

Das Zimmer war mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und gut. Alles sauber und nettes Personal.

Das Dachzimmer ist im Sommer sehr warm. Es wäre ein Ventilator empfehlenswert.

Top Lage, sehr gutes regionales Essen und ländlicher Eifel-Charme

Das Frühstück war außergewöhnlich liebevoll angerichtet und das Personal sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Der Blick aus dem Frühstücksraum auf das Schalkenmehrener Maar, über das der Morgennebel schwebte, war fantastisch!

Das kleine Einzelzimmer mit Balkon war zum Innenhof ausgerichtet, in dem sich das Küchenpersonal regelmäßig in den Pausen zum Rauchen zusammenfand, was bei geöffnetem Fenster teilweise leider zu riechen war. Zudem erschloss sich mir die Bedienung des Fernsehers nicht, dessen Marke von der auf der Fernbedienung angegebenen abwich.

Das war wohl nichts.

Das Badezimmer ist geräumig, modern eingerichtet, alles funktioniert.

Die Atmosphäre in Hotel und Restaurant ist geprägt vom Massentourismus. Die Junior-Suite ist ein durchschnittlich eingerichtetes Apartment, 2 kleine Zimmer mit Bad und Küchenzeile, und hat mit einer Suite nichts zu tun. Der Blick auf das Maar wird beeinträchtigt durch den Campingplatz, der nirgendwo auf den Fotos zu sehen ist, und durch die direkt vor den Fenstern und dem Balkon vorbeilaufenden Scharen von Campern. Ruhe, Beschaulichkeit und Erholung sind hier nicht zu erwarten. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis für die sogenannte Suite ist miserabel.
