Room was v small within the eaves of the hotel so not good for tall people. Bathroom door banged onto sink, shower over bath was somewhat dangerous climbing in and out. Really need to give the place a make over, worn out carpets should be relaxed with polished boards...more hygienic in the bedrooms.

RUDE STAFF: A bit like 'Fawlty towers' without the humour...also the restaurant truly terrible!

Room was adequate for the price...a 3/4 empty water bottle from former inhabitant was on the bed table. Our main problem was VERY rude staff

The bedroom: Smallish but attractively furnished with two chairs with tapestry seats and with old wood beams. Room 206 was under the eaves so the wood beams meant that one could not stand upright on one side of the bed. Plenty of electric plugs. Good bathroom facilities. No view from the window. Wifi reception varied as to one’s position in the room.

Overall a pleasant place to stay but at €415 for two nights dinner, bed and breakfast for two we have had better value elsewhere.

A bath instead of a shower You can turn on the radiator and dry things off There is storage space for bicycles. There is parking for the car. Friendly staff

There are pieces of iron sticking out of the wooden ceilings that you can seriously scratch yourself on. The room is under the roof, and it difficult for a tall person to stand up straight It is difficult to find somewhere to eat in the neighbourhood before 7pm.

We would have enjoyed a bit more privacy, but the location was excellent.

The location was awesome, just a few minutes away from the Chateau de Chenonceau, can’t be that! The restaurant was good and the terrasse very lovely.

Unfortunately we were a bit disappointed with the staff, we thought they could have been a bit more helpful/friendly. Also it seemed there was only one more room occupied beside us and this family was placed right next to our room! Understand this is an old building where you can hear everything. If the hotel is full, fine. But in our case there was hardly anybody there and they could have put their guests in rooms faraway from each other. We could hear every word said, every toilet flushed, shower taken, etc…. It would have been nice to have a bit more peace and quiet especially since we were traveling at off peak. Bad planning from the hotel staff!

Disappointing.

Cheerful staff

Useless wifi No parking although I had specified available parking as part of my search I booked the last room on the site - it meant to be a triple room. You wouldn't even call it a double! Carpets are threadbare and wall paper peeling. Restaurant meal was overpriced and my entrecote was tough and fatty.

A convenient and pleasant stay albeit with come COVID-19 weirdness

Due to COVID-19 things were a little strange but we had a nice stay. The food at the restaurant was good and the room clean enough. We did clean all surfaces with Dettol wipes so that we didn't catch any bugs and took our own pillows.

The room could have been cleaner and the main room light was only hanging on by wires. The WiFi didn't work and the room was very hot as there was no air conditioning.

Staff were all friendly and helpful. Location is great for the chateau. Evening meal was good value as was the breakfast.

Poor sound insulation- we could hear people next door talking and watching television. Very low ceiling beams in the room and especially in the shower room made for an uncomfortable stay.

Chauffage par le sol impossible à régler + grosse couette trop chaude pour la saison . Pour l’anecdote j’ai dormi SUR le lit couverte d’un drap de bain…. Je n’ai pas pris le petit déjeuner à prendre dans un autre établissement ( en face et même propriétaire) pour 14 euros ( trop cher à mon sens )

Suffisant pour passer une nuit afin de visiter le château de Chenonceaux mais pas plus.

L'hôtel est situé proche du château de Chenonceaux.

Pas de stationnement à proximité de l'établissement. Chambre vieillotte et extrêmement chaude car sous les toits mériterait une rénovation. La vue donne sur un bâtiment juste en face. Pour le petit-déjeuner nous avons été contraint de sortir de l'hôtel pour aller 50 mètres plus loin dans un autre établissement de l'autre côté de la rue (l'hôtel La roseraie) alors qu'une salle existe dans notre hôtel.
