Convenient location for Stansted airport and for the wedding venue (the reason for the visit).

The team were very helpful with all our requests to help with wrapping presents, first aid and space to work. The house is at the lower end of the village so not disurbed by aircraft noise

Pity it was very, very wet as the garden looked lovely and we couldn't enjoy it.

A beautiful and clean accommodation providing a great stay.

The room was very clean upon arrival and spacious. The bathroom was practical with the shower and had all of the amenities required. There was a TV and wifi signal was good which was important for me to carry out my work. The bed was huge and very comfortable. In the morning breakfast was very good with a cooked english breakfast as well as cereal options with coffee brought to the table and fresh orange juice available too providing a great start to the day in a beautiful room within a picturesque setting.

Being an older building the sound insulation wasn't great meaning there was some sound transference which did disturb me at times and I really struggled with the door lock. These were minimal though and didn't effect the nice stay I had very much.

Great place to stay

Lovely old building, very peaceful, room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was cooked to perfection and was really tasty. Despite having a broken foot the owner couldn't do enough for me. Will definitely return

Lovely English house for a quiet stay

Gorgeous home with a wonderful interior that combines modern comfort with charming antiquity. The room was very comfortable and the gardens were wonferful.

There wasn't much within walking distance.

Beautiful and restful

Warm welcome, great location- so so much nicer than an airport hotel as situated in a little village so could walk out and through the countryside. And the gardens here beautiful too making it a very restful place. The room was spotless and very comfortable and so quiet. ( no door banging through night!). Would definitely stay here again for a Stansted early start

nothing - did not have a chance

i made the booking on mobile phone using booking.com app. it allowed me to select dates and browse properties. what it did NOT do is highlighted that this place have check in between 4pm and 9pm. for the property that near the airport - this is strange. and when they called me and said they closing check in, i was on the way there. I stayed in many places where people can arrange to find solution - this is not such place. They charged 128 pounds for one night and screw you over.

Not to have a room where ceiling was so sloping. Walking in room and visiting the bathroom was tricky. I could not recommend this room Always smile and engage with guests too especially on meeting

The Guest Cottage is situated in a lovely garden. The building has history and is superbly renovated

The breakfast was a traditional English breakfast. It was cooked while you had cereal so it was fresh and hot. The breakfast was exceptional value for money.

Stunning location excellent service

It seemed amazing but I came in the dark and left in the dark early morning

Reception closing at 9:30 pm meant I had an incredibly stressed bus ride from stansted airport to get there in time as I booked late. When I arrived however my host was very accomodating given I was a last minute booking and changed my room to accomodate my large suitcase not needing stairs she went above and beyond to order a taxi and process my arrival and departure. It was excellent service. She also stayed in the line to help me find the right bus in time. Without her help I could not have arrived from my very delayed flight in time nor could I have arrived for my next 7 am flight in time .. excellent service

Very nice property, very clean and lovely new carpets, pillows were a bit flat for me as I only like one pillow & two made it too high, best take my own next time. The owners were lovely as was the housekeeper, so friendly and the breakfast was first class. Highly recommend this guest house.

We were in room 15. Around 10pm - there was a noise a bit like a generator or something industrial from the next room that produced a loud whirring sound for around half an hr - which was a little off putting.

Perfect place if you are looking for a chilled stay before a flight

lovely village, near the airport, I left my car there for a few days while I was away for a small fee. friendly staff and nice local (walkable to) pub near by where I ate food.

The setting and the welcome. Also the room was comfortable, clean and quiet.

The temperature control in the shower was stuck on hot and it took some force to release it. Limited cereals for breakfast and no choice of bread for toast.
