We stayed for 4 nights in Jan2026.Full points to the hotel for location,room size and, cleanliness, breakfast,helpfull staff and value for money.The small kitchenate provided in the room is the deal breaker.Would love to stay again.

Maybe it was a result of booking through a third party, but I would never in a million years expect to have subpar accommodations at a Marriott for the price per night that was paid - NYC or not. To be directed to a level below the lobby, we were already disappointed that there would be no view. But then to get to our room and find what could only be described as side of the road motel accommodations was heartbreaking. This was supposed to be a treat for the family as an early Christmas present, but it was just a big let down. From the make shift kitchenette where the upper cabinets made it almost impossible to use the sink, to the fridge that DID NOT WORK (and even after reporting it, still was not made a priority to fix which resulted in very expensive leftovers being thrown out!), to the mattress being so warped that you felt you would roll off the side, to the baby roaches in the bathroom that was falling apart, to the smell in the hallway and ultimately in the room (might have been a result of being one floor above the basement - not sure). The staff was nice and accommodated us with extra blankets and towels when asked, but overall the friendliness of the staff did not offset the lack of standards that were missing and have come to be expected at a Marriott from a long time Marriott rewards member! Again, maybe the upper floor units resemble the pictures that are shown on the hotel's website, but ours was a poorly renovated basement copycat version of what was being marketed and we were left very disappointed to say the least!
