I want to go again!!!

Breakfast is just wow!!! Homemade products, delicious, great quality. I miss it now! And as value added you feel like at your own kitchen! Design of the main hall is absolutely fantastic! You immediately feel at home. The rooms standard. Bathroom a bit obsolete but the good idea is that the toilet is separated. Bed is super comfortable. We slept like babies! It wad very calm.

Eclectic mix of all things music and film, great ethos and homely feel! Loved it

Absolutely loved the communal area downstairs and all the quirky decor and music and film memorabilia. The band room really excited us as we both play in bands and both would love to come back with our band and have a weekend in Rennes jamming!

Everything is fab but if forced to pick one thing, it would be the flooring in our bedroom! Maybe it isn’t the same in all bedrooms as we went for the cheapest option in a bid to keep our costs down on a last minute weekend away without the baby! Something slightly softer underfoot wouldn’t go a miss - even just a couple of rugs or runners either side of the bed…

Wonderful stay with a clean room, comfy bed and friendly owners.

Elise was so helpful and kind upon our arrival. We came early so she offered us coffee and food from her buffet brunch. She reserved trains to Mont Saint Michel and sent me the link. Very helpful besides friendly.

Clever clean well run hotel we would gladly visit again.

The management/staff of the hotel provide excellent customer service, recommendations, and are very helpful. The hotel is cleverly decorated and clean. Restaurants, stores, historical sites, museums, gardens, and the tourist visitor center are within walking distances. We walked from and to the train station with luggage, but it is a long walk and phone directions had us walking up and down lots of stairs and taking cobble stone streets on arrival, whereas on the return we made our own directions and went by the river most of the way and there were no stairs or bumpy roads to maneuver. Parc du Thabor is spectacular!! The fine arts museum is great! If you want amazingly good vegan croissants and pastries, coffee, and other grocery and essential items there is a wonderful store (currently called Vegestal) at 15 rue Hoche. Le Coucou Rennais is a fantastic organic and local restaurant!

Magical, like the name of the place.

the decoration is beautiful -like a home out of a magazine. The staff was warm, helpful and very friendly. The room was amazing, lots of light and space, I tottally felt like home and not a hotel room. The location is good out of the old center of Rennes whitch is noisy and not so clean. I loved every part of the hotel. Breakfast is like home made and you can grab what you want. Very nice.

The price of breakfast was a little high.

Big room, nice bathroom, lovely lounge/ breakfast area, happy to store our bicycles inside, close to old town Rennes.

Looks charming in the photos but honestly not worth the money

The breakfast was amazing but it was not made clear that it wasn’t included in the price which was already expensive.

The breakfast should be included with prices like that. I paid way too much for the room which was super basic and also not the ‘superior room’ I was shown in the photos. Instead of a double bed it had two single beds pushed together which kept sliding apart. Other than that the room was totally basic so for paying 240 quid beforehand and then getting hit with a 70 quid bill for breakfast for 2 for 2 days, I felt like it was a bit of a punch in the face.

Lovely hotel with interesting interior. The rooms are very individual. We relaxed in the bar area after arrival and enjoyed the music at a level we could chat easily while enjoying a glass of wine after a stressful day

An enjoyable and welcoming one night stay in Rennes

Staff were very friendly and had our key waiting for us when we checked in at 10pm. Breakfast was excellent, on a shared long table. Our superior room was large, and probably also for disabled access.

Comfortable and colourful spot in Rennes!

I was very fortunate to be assigned the room with the big bathtub, which after travelling from Canada for 10+ hours was really appreciated! The plug in the tub didn't stay in, but I had some first aid tape that I used for my soak (creative thinking!) I benefited from a delicious and generous serving of spaghetti bolognaise the evening I checked in and a delicious breakfast the next morning. I really loved the decor and character.

It is a bit challenging to find. It shows as being a half hour walk from la gare, but it took me much longer as I got turned around and in the wrong direction a few times. The signage could be better. Once there, however, it is a great spot.

Breakfast was interesting. Loved the long table. Food wise. Clearly meant to be as green as possible but the ficelle was too tough to eat and the cake etc was tainted by the type of flour used. Shame as otherwise excellent.
